A drop in the number of PDL teams plying their trade in Canada this year. Most notable and disheartening was the departure of Victoria but the Impact and Whitecaps also ended their PDL affiliations. TFC kept their but didn't report any attendance numbers (which, in past seasons, were negligible anyway).

Newcomers Calgary are now our westernmost team. They averaged 519 in their inaugural season.

Winnipeg averaged 136, down from 179 last year. A large percentage drop but really just noise in a tiny signal.

Thunder Bay went up from 615 last year to 695 this year. They also had their first regular season crowd to top 1000 since their 2010 season.

London average 967, up from last year's disappointing 777. As usual, London broke 1000 in almost half their games.

Kitchener-Waterloo came in at 364, up a bit from 306 last season.

The overall average for Canadian PDL teams (ignoring the non-reporting TFC) was 532. The changes in teams represented are sufficient that there isn't much point in comparing this to last year's number.

so my question is...can they sue in the courts in order to gain the freedom to play where they would like to???

My guess is that they're still free to play in PDL, they'd just lose CSA / OSA sanctioning, which the courts could not force CSA / OSA to give.
