Gleaning information from this article (https://www.guelphtoday.com/pursuit...-host-voyageurs-cup-match-this-spring-5000540), we see that: The tournament will be single elimination again. I prefer home and away for many reasons but I realize the tournament has grown to the point where that starts to add a lot of games. The first round will be the eight CPL teams and the two D3 teams. The first round will be in mid-May. The three MLS teams will join the five winners in the second round. No information on whether the CSA will arrange the bracket geographically again, but I'd expect so. Some good stuff in here on the costs faced by D3 teams trying to compete in the Canadian Championship. Also some useful general information on the upcoming L1O season.
The draw for this year's tournament is complete: https://canpl.ca/article/canchamp-d...ian-championship-preliminary-round-determined On a quick glance, Pacific looks to have the easiest potential path to the final. The Whitecaps will have to go through three CPL teams if they want to reach the final. That has proven difficult for them thus far so we'll see how they do.
