    US Goal..

Bocanegra scores off a header six yards out (from a corner)

    8th minute...

About the worst possible start for Canada :(

Maycoll Canizalez took a corner for Canada, so we know at least one Canadian player.

Canizalez plays for Werder Bremen reserves, and tonight is his first senior national team cap.

No, unfortunately I don't have FSWC, so I have to follow the match on US matchtracker...

Canadian starting 11, as posted on the US section...

    Goal:
    Lars Hirschfeld

    Defense:
    Carl Fletcher
    Tony Menezes
    Richard Hastings

    Midfield:
    Tam Naliwa
    Chris Pozniak
    Atiba Hutchinson
    Daniel Imhof
    Maycoll Canizalez

    Strikers:
    Sita-Tany Matondo
    Davide Xausa

Interesting to see 18 year old Matondo start up front. He currently doesn't even have a club....

Hutchinson is also getting his first national team cap.

and its 3-0 USA at half...

Canada has had a few chances, but nothing has come out of them (obviously)

Like I told everybody here on the 27th of December and repeated many times after the final score would be 4-0, and it was.

Can you pick six numbers for me?

Did you get a chance to watch the game? I am glad I didn't drive to Ottawa to watch it...

I wish I could pick six number for me!

No, I didn't see it. Rather than go downtown to watch it in a cafe with Vic Bianchin, the editor of the world football pages, and who knows who else has a stong dislike towards me, and knowing that they'd lose 4-0 I stayed home and followed it on the USA match tracker.

    I'm glad I did.

Canada were in a hiding to nothing

At least youth is given a chance. That's the only possitive thing to come out of this game. Did Friend come on as a sub?

Fair enough. I predicted that score the day before the match when I was informed that De Rosario got a broken foot & once we knew that Stalteri, De Guzman & McKenna would all also be unavailable (on Dec. 27th we thought they would be). Had those guys played there's no way the score would have ended up 4-0.
