Just finish watch the first half and in my view the USA control most the game, they were the only team trying to play soccer. O Reilley is very fast and should be able to brake the Canadian defence. Fletcher very dangerous in the throwins. The USA did miss a opportunity when the head shoot just miss the goal by inches.
Canadian players were only danger in the clearance, but that's about it.
The goalie for Canada did look good.

Ugh, I wish USSF would've tried to put this game on ABC sports. Maybe they did and the only network to accept the games was FoxSports World. Oh well, there's next weekend...

You must know very little about Canada, and Edmonton then ... Edmonton has been a traditional hotspot for soccer support.

Too many slips, one of the slips and american defender was out of the game, it look like she sprain here ankle. The play was early in the game she was lucky she didn't fell on the hard floor of the track and field.
There is one top section in the stadium that I saw at least 1000 empty seats, but we can't take away from the 60,000 fans attending the game.

I am 99.99% sure that the USSF had no say in the TV for this tournament as it is a FIFA event and played in Canada so the rights to TV were either FIFA's or The Canadian Soccer Fed. or a combination of both and whoever had it probably put the rights up for bids an I bet NO US TV bid at all and only FSWD offered late.

The games we are seeing down here were added VERY late and probably just because of calls and email to the various groups involved.

Matchtracker said Canadian crowd is out of the game due to US dominance. Where has most of the game been played?

One of the popular teams in NASL was the Edmonton Drillers. Hope to see a team there at least in the A-League.

Like I said before USA control the first half, the Canadians the only way they going to score is on a brake away or by a defence mistake, the USA is by far the best team on the field.

Might be but I believe that they did NOT have the rights they were just asking FSWD to get the games.

How does the crowd on TV sound? Is it like a 60,000 4th of July Denver crowd?

You obviously dont know how Canada plays then... its been quite an even game.. no chances for either really .. Canadian counter attack has been silenced and the US possesion has been kept to the midfield which is what Canada wanted to do

They paid but they are still empty in my book, but that's not the case, we talk some more after the second half.

The broadcast rights were obtained by US Soccer.

"The broadcast rights to both matches were obtained by U.S. Soccer, with support from Eurosport and Fox Sports World, who cleared broadcast time on their network on short notice in order to bring the games to soccer fans across the United States. "
