Game starts in little over 45 minutes. The game is not being shown on TV, thus making updates difficult to find. Updates (if found will be found here).... Apparently the game is on Libyan TV, and some Canadian fans are watching the game at an Iranian restaurant in Toronto. Here is an article from the Toronto Star about the game: "They were greeted Monday by a colourful reception that included traditional music and Libya's soccer youth at the capital city's airport in Tripoli. As the Canadians went through their practice session, a group of young Libyans shouted, `Canada, Canada' and gave the thumbs-up sign." http://waymoresports.thestar.com/NA...=979744613060&call_pagepath=MoreSports/Soccer
59th minute 3-1 Canada att is probably over 50,000 because the Italy/Libya U21 game before the senior match had a crowd of 50,000.
Libya could be a difficult place to play and 52000 fans were in the stadium. I really can't say much because I didn't see the game.
That doesn't surprise me too much - scoring 4 on the road without any of our 5 most experienced strikers (including our top two, Radzinski & De Rosario), well does surprise me somewhat. Looks like the U23 strikers we brought can give us some offensive depth. The only downside is that we've given up 9 goals in the past 3 matches. Though I did predict a Canadian victory - nyah nyah to all you Canuck pessimists who predicted otherwise.
