Let's hope we bring something more than a "C" squad this time.

Wow! Canada has a "C" squad? The US doesn't even have one of those!

By June 1 De Rosario should be healed and in mid-season form. All the UK based Canucks should be free to play by then.

And if school is out for the summer the team Canada had at Ft Lauterdale should be able to travel as well. HeHeHe.

Seriously, Germany may be mising a couple players due to the German Final being played the day before, but they will be sure to bring a strong team. Should be a very tough game for Canada, but Voeller may be looking at options for the follow-on qualifiers so Germany may lack cohesion and be youthful, so Canada has a shot to give them a game.

This sort of experience will serve the team well when they line up against the likes of El Salvador, Barbados and Costa Rica's best. I think the biggest reason the USA advanced in WC02 was that there were, for the first time, players who were not over-awed by the Finals and expected to be able to win games. Confidence is (almost) everything, and the hardest thing to come by.

I remember watching the US at Germany match and the German side had a lot (forget the actual number) of players missing for the game. However, they were still able to field a decent side. Either way, it will be a good warm up for the Gold Cup.

It's a good thing you don't - from personal experience I find "C" teams can lose 4-0 if they go up against another team's B squad. :)

Though it does look like Maycoll Canizalez, the most impressive of the 5 debut players against the US, may have graduated up a squad as he has been called to the Libya match in a few weeks. At least according to his club, Werder Bremen, where the youngster plays for their reserves (it also mentioned Stalteri was getting called, but that's a given).

The Germany friendly will be great preparation for the Gold Cup. Now if we can just organize that friendly to be held in Edmonton in late May, we might just be able to break the 2 & a half year drought of no home games.

Yeah. It should be a stronger squad. Radzinski and DeRosario should be up front for that one.
