I'm a massive geography buff and lived/travelled all over the world but to be fair Africa is very hard to do a blank map on. I imagine theres not many Africans that could fill it out and get 100% right.
1. Can you find Ghana on a map? Yes. This inspired me to take the sporcle quiz on naming the countries of Africa, I only missed 3 out of 53 and 2 of those were island groups.
Somewhere in the middle? edit: nope, dead wrong. It's scary how many countries I couldn't even take a guess at. Need to study a bit, I suppose.
Ghana is Nigeria's biggest rival. They are West African countries close to each other. If you want to find Ghana find Nigeria.
I have done the sporcle quiz a lot in the past couple years and am usually able to get all the world countries. Before doing the sporcle quiz though, all I could tell you about Ghana was that it was in West Africa.
Yes, no problem. Having many friends from around the world, lived in several countries, and traveled extensively in several dozen more sure helps to know a little bit about a lot of stuff.
Yup-I subscribe to The Economist. There is a comprehensive section each week about Africa, and Ghana probably has an article dedicated to it at least once a month. They should change the name of The Economist to "World Affairs", although I am pretty sure there is already a journal with that title.
Nope. I took World Geography a few semesters back, but my prof deemed Africa unnecessary. The whole continent was extra credit, which naturally means I didn't bother. I detected the racism at the time, but being a selfish prick, I wasn't about to confront him and get assigned more work. If you want someone to draw out the major rivers and mountain ranges of Europe, though, I'm your man!
I thought I knew where it was, but when I looked it up I had it confused with the location of the Ivory Coast.
