Yup. And it's only the 4th time they've reached WC semis. I woulda thought more, but I checked and yup it's only 4. Edit: But TBF, mighty Argentina have "only" reached the semis 6 times.
Tuchel was super hot after that win. And the stupid interviewer used the "mentality" word and he went off on him.
No, you don’t get to swing your leg across a player that is shoulder to shoulder with you, if you clearly aren’t playing the ball and Spence wasn’t playing the ball, he was looking for the pk.
Why did fifa force them to rename Arrowhead? It’s not named after a sponsor is it? Also, why is a World Cup quarterfinal being played in Kansas City (sorry Carlos)?
At this point, I’m afraid he is who he is and we won’t see significant future improvements in his game.
Same for Azteca Its technically GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, but no one uses the sponsor name. The Hunt family have done a lot for the sport in this country? Or we bribed Infantino with barbeque.
Madueke plays I like I play fifa on PlayStation Just randomly pressing buttons while running full speed
Yeah the whole stadium name thing is so stupid. Also why call Foxboro Boston? As for Arrowhead, I'm still loving looking at it. Have you been there much? How well does it "work"? And why it's hosting a QF, there is no doubt that shady backroom deals were involved between FIFA and someone representing KC.
I think I heard ARG's XI tonight has an average age of 30 or more. And that it's the oldest for any quarterfinalist since 1962?! p.s. One of the babies on the team just put them one step towards the Semis... Macallister at only 27YO.
Every time Mizzou have played there and a handful of Chiefs games. Went to a Monday night game last season. Vehicles line up for hours to get in as soon as the gates open to start tailgating. It's been renovated but some of the men's restrooms still have old school troughs.
I literally fell asleep for the last 30 mins of the half. Only once did energized commentary happen to wake me up. Am up now, maybe it'll get better?
Just read this, which Tuchel said about Declan... On Declan Rice being replaced at half-time: "It was neither [illness or injury]. We wanted a more offensive change. We knew Declan would not last 90 minutes, nor 120 minutes, so we took him off."
I'm so glad Emi doesn't play for us anymore. I mean, look at his hair. And he made space to let that ball through his legs lol
Wow, that was a dramatic bit of VAR re-refereeing! A rarety/novelty in VAR reviewing a yellow for "mistaken identity". Where Paredes was originally booked for doing nothing. VAR told the ref to go to screen, then he overturned it, and instead gave the yellow to Embolo for simulation (debatable but somewhat justifiable) who then earned his 2nd yellow, and so SUI are now down to 10 men.
