Flyers were awful last decade and it is clear they are losing their position. Can Union become 4th most popular team in Philly?

As measured by? Attendance per game, TV viewership, post-season games won?

My guess is that there will be a little bump post World Cup and Gold Cup if the US does well in both and the weather holds but if the Union start sinking in the standings there will be empty seats in August and beyond.

Because that sort of thing takes generational shifts. Older hockey fans need to die off AND be replaced by more new soccer fans than hockey fans. That will take a while.

Flyers fan base is steady and strong. While not as big as the fan bases for Eagles, 76ers and Phillies, they're still very loyal and passionate. Even when the Flyers aren't that good they pack the Wells Fargo Center.

Union have a VERY long way to go. 10 years of suck takes a hell of a lot more then a good half season to overcome.

Phang should have been a groundhog so he would have been the 3rd most famous groundhog in PA.
