I live in So-Cal and I wanted to know if the US national team training is open the public to go and watch at the HDC?
I really hope so ! This soccer wanabe directors need to get more wise or get onto the high way, all this training sesion could be a good chance for promotional efforts ....Move federation ...move!!
Call the Galaxy front office and either ask them or ask them for the Feds LA number. The USSF has an office at the home depot.
You know something!! The best way is not inquire directly into the Federation public relations office, probably they do not have the remote idea that the training is a good chance to get some.... dinero$$$$$
It's most likely that almost all sessions are closed to the public but there might be some open ones and surely some where the press is invited and press likely can make "appointments". It might also be that you can get a "view" from somewhere depending on what field they are using. Several US nat teams are there so someone should be watchable to some degree at most times.. Take binoculars..
i'm not sure if watching training is "officially" open to the public, but i think you can watch them nonetheless. if they practice on one of the fields outside the stadium, you can easily stand and watch. if gates to the parking lot are closed, you can park at the college and walk to the fields. i only saw 6 galaxy practicing when i did a little drive by during the time the national team was here. if they play inside the HDC, i imagine you can still pop in there for a few hours, since the restaurant inside is open to the public when events aren't going on (i don't think practice is considered an "event").
Taco Jones is correct. I asked the lady at the ticket office when I bought my seats for Jan. 18 and she said that they generally practice twice a day on the six fields in front. (those lining the drive up to the HDC). I asked her if people could come and watch and she said while they would not put out stands (ergo, not officially open to the public) people could certainly go out and watch. Caro Francesco
Classic!!! A classic soccer situation on our good'old USA...It seems to me that they are waiting for the Bayer Leverkusen and snatch the tickets and sell them... Totally classic people...Totally classic...
ok ok..... Ok ok...for next year resolution I promise to be less a pain on the uyuyuy and be more proactive ... by the way It would be nice if the federation be a little more active on the promotional department though.... hey more funds for another Bradenton soccer style academy ..Happy new years guys
yeah when i went out there in june, the gates were open and you can pretty much do what you want. just park along the entrance, just after the main gate, and get out and watch.
is anyone planning to make a trip to the hdc next week at all to watch training. id be willing to go at around the same time so that im not that lone ranger when sercurity cuffs us and throws us to the ground. let me know.
Normally, these interregional youth Nat games have been open to the public; however, the MNT is getting ready to play the Denmarkians, so the facility may be closed during their training session hours. Keep your Viking helmet at home when you go.
MNT camps are almost always open to the public, even if not "officially". When they used to have them down here in San Diego, I went to a couple myself. A LOT of fun (and a good time for autographs if that's your inclination). Only one prerequisite: if you attend, you MUST report HERE afterwards.
I think it's possible that policy was reviewed and changed recently but I hope you are correct for those who want to check it out.
