Was the referee really biased? Anyway, if Germany feels like that then he'll not receive further assignments involving them. In the more important matches... like the World Cup. That is how the big teams like Germany roll.
I only saw the first half and the very end. Certainly in the first half the officiating was pretty good. All the fouls that were called seemed to be correct.
The refereeing felt a bit off from my point of view but nothing really bad or deciding stuff. But I feel the players got frustrated over the whole 90 minutes which led to the complains after the final whistle. The scene when Musiala got kicked in the penalty area wasn't a penalty imo. Musiala had already kicked the ball.
This Italian referee has officiated Dutch teams thirteen times now and lost only once (a last minute winner of Monaco vs PSV). I don't rule out he would not have been picked in case of a World Cup game, when Germany really cares. They are that powerful and influential (less clear ofc when they play a Brazil or England). Same as how Argentina has without doubt vetoed referees again and again in countless games (against us or against the Belgian neighbors).
