I hope that all of the de Ligt apologists have seen the light now. He just doesn’t cut it on the highest level. Simple as. Now let’s finally move on from him and pick better CB’s. And no, he won’t turn it around in the next game, nor the one after that.

There was enough possibility for going 2-0 up. Xavi had a great chance vs Ter Stegen.

Brobbey his technique and decision making is pretty bad. Before everyone is all over the moon; he ruins a lot as well.

He was a lot better during Koeman his first stint in charge, for sure, but also there a penalty caused vs the Germans thanks to a handball.

Koeman subs out Simons and brings in extra defenders. :(

Caught the last five minutes. Too bad Frank Rijkaard was not on the field at the end, he could have had a nice reunion with Rudi Voller!!!

What the heck was Germany complaining about at the final whistle?

I guess there was an imposter playing with his shirt number on the first goal. He held the ball up very well in the first half. It's not his fault that he has had so little club football since the Euros.

Germany showing desire and intention to win, koeman holding on to his pants wanting to draw

More clinical finishing could have had the Dutch up three goals in the first half. Your boy Simons should have done much better with his chance.

Probably more of a "fed up" with the biased ref team over the whole 90 minutes. Apart from that, a fun game with a lot of end to end action. See you for the rematch!

Was the referee really biased? Anyway, if Germany feels like that then he'll not receive further assignments involving them. In the more important matches... like the World Cup. That is how the big teams like Germany roll.

I only saw the first half and the very end. Certainly in the first half the officiating was pretty good. All the fouls that were called seemed to be correct.

The refereeing felt a bit off from my point of view but nothing really bad or deciding stuff. But I feel the players got frustrated over the whole 90 minutes which led to the complains after the final whistle.

The scene when Musiala got kicked in the penalty area wasn't a penalty imo. Musiala had already kicked the ball.

That is one of the three!! Free header in the box and Dumfries usually puts those away.

This Italian referee has officiated Dutch teams thirteen times now and lost only once (a last minute winner of Monaco vs PSV).

I don't rule out he would not have been picked in case of a World Cup game, when Germany really cares. They are that powerful and influential (less clear ofc when they play a Brazil or England). Same as how Argentina has without doubt vetoed referees again and again in countless games (against us or against the Belgian neighbors).

He has done this so often. Also when playing against the non 'Big Teams'.

Playing Ake as left-back was not smart (as center back you need to run less) and Zirkzee should have seen a second 45 minutes.

It was Koeman his initial plan - before the international break - to not play De Ligt in the second game anyway, but he changed his mind... Costs you two goals now.

He called 4 PSV, 1 Ajax and 4 Oranje matches. The others were junior matches. While he is a an "elite" FIFA referee, he's not at the top of the list in Italy and unlikely to ever get a WC match. He has only done a small number of WC and Euro qualifiers: Davide Massa » Matches as referee (worldfootball.net)

Add in the Oranje games and there is only one loss. In the last minute.

It is doubtful this assignment receives a pass for the euros or World Cups (while we, the little Hollanders, are of course in no position to veto or voice a preference).

Him not at the top of the list in Italy only confirms that so far the Nations League is a testing ground. Just as it is for players.

Atleast he was the brightest spark in the team. When ever he was involved offensively, the Dutch looked threatening and came close especially in the first half. He is the only player I can say has the cutting edge ability out of every one. Next one would be Lang whom that clown didnt call up.

And if you want to hug and cuddle on those misses, look on the side as well. The Germans also missed good chances.

Koeman mentioned - in a byline - that Tah had pulled down Brobbey his shirt five times before he finally received a yellow. Tah was substituted half time

    https://nos.nl/liveblog/2536649-spe...and-eindigt-in-2-2-blessure-ake-is-grote-smet

This is actually kind of correct. Tah could have received his card way earlier. After the second pull down or so.

Simons created the 2-2... his action made it possible.
