Lol. Fixed it for you. “Look bro, I clearly have no way of proving what I said and I also have no other unrelated argument to throw your way in order to divert from the fact that I’m plain wrong so I’m just gonna use ‘justtrustmebro’ for a last time as the basis for my argument and make a run for it at the risk of embarrassing myself further.”

It’s Ok bro. We all make mistakes and dig ourselves an even deeper hole before we admit we’re wrong. Pride comes before the fall and all. Run along now.

There isn’t a great option for RCD because all the viable candidates are playing at different positions at the club level (Geetruida RB, Ake LB, J. Timber LB, Van de Ven LCD and he’s injured anyway).

De Ligt are Van Hecke are the only ones playing RCD at the moment for their respective clubs. Van Hecke is a newcomer, so there is no sense throwing him to the fire. So, all things considered, De Ligt, in spite of his errors in last game, would be the most natural option. My gut is that he will recover, and will have a fine game v. Germany… given all the motivation (criticism) he’d received. Don’t quote me on this, though :p

I’d rather play J. Timber than de Ligt at this point, I know he's short for a CB but he's always been very solid whenever I've seen him play at CB. I never quite rated him as a fullback. Even if he has a good game vs Germany it doesn’t negate all of his piling mistakes over the years. He’d need a solid run of consistency to win the most people over again.

Yup, I think deLigt will turn it around as well.
And maybe in 2nd half put vHecke in for Virgil who probably needs a rest.

    Cant wait for the game.
Got my jenever bottle ready

Brobbey and Gravenberch have been outstanding so far. Worried that Ake may have a knee injury.

Thing with Brobbey is his technical ability and decision making, around the sixteen meter area. Oranje had enough opportunities in the first half to score more than one goal. Like Simons vs Ter Stegen.

Also De Ligt losing his duel. Gakpo switching off vs Kimmich. Van Dijk cannot do everything at once.

All the experts hung the "he's gonna be the best defender in the world" tag on deLigt, but he has a lot of improving to do if he ever wants to get there.

They did the same thing with Robinho. He was supposed to be the next Pele.
We all know how that turned out

You see the Dutch defended and defended well but it opened up. Koeman wants to build the team around defense but with cutting edge players it will scumb to openings and goal
The Dutch has only looked good on counters thanks to the weaker midfield of the Germans

64- 36 poession to Germany. You can do the maths here. This shows how the Germans have been patient and hitting and hitting waiting for it to open up. And it did.

Again you can’t see those forwards runs from the flanks like what Raum and kimmich are making. The Dutch backs are just defending. This is why offensive Fullbacks are needed. Timber for Ake just doesn’t make sense for me. You have to match up on your opponents and that’s the only way to stand toe to toe with them.

Gakpo is a one trick pony and only looks influential when he gets the ball on the right time and right place. Again enough of this. You look at the tatical play and I have said this many times. Dumfries has made very limited forwards runs because he is back defending given the Germans are dominating possession. Xavi is also tracking back and above all drifting to the left when offensively. the right flank is just dead. The good thing though is the Germans have been attacking on the left flank and it’s the same story the other side. Kim much is overlapping and linking up with muisala or who ever is on that side. Ake and gakpo simply can’t do this and are stuck at the back defending by far on the counters.

this tatical set up by koeman is old school and will never work vs big teams.

Did you see Schouten at the 1-1? Is he really that physically weak?
