I hope so but I'm not too sure. With Raul out, this would put a huge amount of pressure on Ronaldo, I don't kow if he will be able to handle it.

hmm im not sure if they could win without raul, now without ronaldo i'm sure they could do better. just put in guti, sell ronaldo and buy a defense.

Well since they can't buy the defense until summer let's just stick to if they can win with Ronaldo and probably Guti (maybe they will bring on Morientes if things go really wrong)

You mean this is more pressure than he felt at WC 2002? Pressure is not going to dictate how Ronaldo will perform in this game, whether good or bad.

As for the original question, of course they can play without Raul for one game. He'll be missed of course, but they can win (or lose) without him in a one game situation at Old Trafford. Isn't Real a complete team, boasting the finest players in the world?

Conversely, if they can lose to Real Sociedad with him, they can lose to Man U without him. IMO the game is as much of a toss-up as it was before his absence.

    Okay people, perspective.

Sure Raul is good, he's very very good.

But lets not forget the other luminaries that grace the Madrid lineup.

    Zidane is where it's at.

Well, it might be a blessing for Real Madrid. they might focus more on defense now. MU's only chance is the weakness of Real Madrid's defense. If Real Madrid attacks MU, MU can actually win.

NOW!!! Let7s wait another 8 hours.

Ronaldo scores on first real opportunity. No matter how much people doubt him.....

Now, go Manchester! I want to see an OT classic.

Real doesn't need to win they need to not lose by two or more. I don't think they'll lose anyway.

Hat-trick in Madrid's biggest game of the year. That's why you get Ronaldo, for days and games like today.

Even after missing 3 years, more impressively a whole month of La Liga for being "fat", isn't he R. Madrid's leading scorer in La Liga for the year?

I had a feeling he would come up big today.
