The dilemma - I'm paying for basic tier with Spectrum as I can't afford next tier up (which includes BeIN) on a monthly basis. So as of now, I can't watch USA v Honduras tomorrow.

    The questions -

1 - Can I add the next tier up, say tomorrow morning, then remove it the next day?

2- If so, how much should I expect to be charged? I know cable companies like to add fees for everything, so if someone has first hand experience, especially with Spectrum in Wisconsin, that would be super.

    3. If it works, can I pull this stunt off more than once or twice or will they be on to me?

Oh, one more thing. I can't watch it live. I have to DVR it, so I need BeIN to see it.

Does this cost anything? Can I watch it from my computer? Can I watch it after the match is over?

I've been known to do that once in a while but I have to work during the match.

I suppose you don't have NBC Universo either.

You could check out SlingTV. You need to have one of the compatible devices, but I think their sports package has BeIN and they usually have a 7day free trial. Not sure if it includes their DVR service, but I would think it would.

I would just follow the game thread. Probably will be more entertaining.

That's how I "watched" our 2009 win down there. 10/10 experience.

Sort of a tangent, but when I recently moved and got my cable set up, I discovered that the basic Comcast Latino package (130 channels) for my area includes beIN - whereas the regular Comcast packages don't include beIN until you get into the higher tiers. Not only that, but the Spanish channels means you get a full slate of matches from all over the globe.

And the kicker is that (in my area, at least), this package is actually cheaper than the lowest tier of regular Comcast - which is just 10 channels, local TV only.

The caveat is that, of course, the commentary is entirely in a language I do not understand - but I'm surprisingly untroubled about not having to listen to two guys ramble on about pointless tangents of interest only to them.

I understand the word "Goooooooooooooollllllll" and that's good enough.

I have Charter/Spectrum and don't have BeIn but I do have NBC Universo (channel 210 by me FWIW) and this is how I plan to watch it. I don't understand Spanish but so what. At least I can see the game, I've done this before.

unfortunately CONCACAF allows the host nation to see the rights to whoever they want, regardless of how many homes the broadcaster is in in the visiting country.

At least they are no longer selling them to closed-circuit providers whose product could only be found by locating the ethnic neighborhood of whoever we were playing.

Teero D. Eskqeeno is either the name of the ball boy a corner kick.

Ahkeepo Estado Youneatoes seems to be United State Team.

Peelowta might be the soccer ball.

Portearo is "guy who left the door open at Aston Villa."

I have no idea what a borreato is, however.

Because they have about one USA game on Bein a year. I got a 7 day free trial and set and alarm to cancel my subscription right after the game :)
