    Well well well
the end of a very entertaining competition is coming to a soon end.
Egypt who has showed the best and most consistent performance is hoping for the 6th title (Record), while Cameroon who is a big great team by all means even if not showing the best performance but still managing to make it to the final (even after a shocking 4-2 defeat against Egypt in their opener).

Should be a great entertaining piece of football.
Both teams know each other very well and keeping the respect at a high level.
I hope it would be as entertaining as the Egypt-Ivory Coast game in the semi final.. And unsurprisingly I hope EGYPT WINS !!

    GO PHARAOHS !!

And even before the tournament ends, I wanted to ask those who had no respect for Egypt's abilities to re-consider. If you've been following Egypt's performance in this tournament and of course in CAN 2006, you should absolutely change your minds!!
I can't blame those who say Egypt is not the best African team, it's a free world you can think and say all you want.. BUT you should not say such things as the following posts said :

    jagr68 said:
quit kidding yourself. egypt finished 3rd behind ivory coast and cameroon in world cup qualifying. ivory coast is better than egypt. just look at all their players abroad in europe. kalou, drogba, toure, eboue, zokora, yaya, kone, meite, dindane, etc. every player i just mentioned is better than any given player on egypt.

    WerderandFCKfan said:
******** all the arab teams, they belong to play with their arab ''brothas'' from the ME, even though I really dont support other African teams, it sickens me to see them steal great points from true african teams. but on the topic i would say ghana, they play very good and are very strong, and Nigeria, they suck, Angola has always been better than them when you look at their statistics/games against each other.
    Pike said:

    The top four teams are;
Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, & Nigeria

I cannot honestly place Egypt in the list, I have seen them play twice so far(Burundi & Botswana) and, I was not that impress with them. However, I would place them in the 2nd tier of teams,...

Any comprehensive replies from those three posters ???????

This Egypt Vs Cameroon final promises to be a great game and i can't wait to see how it pans out.I have to say that i'm a little surprised as i thought that the hosts,Ghana would overcome Cameroon,Narrowly due to the home advantage,And no disrespect to Egypt but i thought Ivory coast would definately reach the final as they were the tournament's best team.So the final will be between the teams i thought were going home,It's a good thing i'm not a betting man,Lol.

For me the final will be won by Egypt,I was very impressed by their win over the Ivory Coast last night,They dominated the match from start to finish,And that was a very strong Ivory Coast team to,With all their players playing for top European clubs,Also let's not forget the group game in which they defeated Cameroon 4-2,I think they will be claiming their sixth title,No worrys.

Well guys, ummmm...that final will not be that easy game for Pharaohs !!!

Yes, the Pharaohs have stunned the Ivoirians in a world cup class game...and the Ivoirians were really a class team as Egypt.

Yes, Egypt managed to secure the won with 4 goals....that was great and also the opener game of group (c) Egypt vs Cameroon which ended by also an Egyptian win (4-2)... but the two games has became a history just like the rest of the tournament matchs.

Now we have 2 giant teams. Cameroon is not that easy team despite of the opener wide defeat against Egypt.

Cameroon has a plenty of amazing world class players...supported by the command of a legendary star Samuel Eto'o.

The game is really unpredictable yet and the refree final whistle is the judge.

I dont know who posted them but WerderandFCKfan
is a complete racist. how can he say an ivorian is aomwhoq more African than an Egyptian or a Libyan is somehow less African than a Nigerian? i know that is not exactly what he said, but this is what he implied. what a stupid jerk... We are all Africans, I am a Somali myself and I look at all Africans as africans and it does not matter if they come from morocco or Tunisia or Egypt or Ghana or Ivory coast.

    with that said... GO CAMEROON!!!

I think Egypt has had the easy route so far. 5 times they were the first to score. This time I don't see that happening - Cameroon will score first. Then we'll see Egypt's mettle.

They still are the favourites, but I would like to see them come from behind to see if they really are such a class act at the African Cup of Nations.

It could go either way...the world qualifiers with Cameroon and Egypt come to mind...anyone remember?

Anyways Egypt definitely has the upper hand with the predictions but I see Cameroon bringing a good fight. Hope its a great game. Wish we could also see a little more Eto'o.

The ref is high, he is refusing to give Cameroon yellow cards no matter what they're doing.
