I have a very simple question for everyone..What soccer camps have you attended and how was the quality of the program...
I've heard Coerver Camps are excellent but I would like other opinions...
    Thanks

If you've got a kid, I'd say send 'em to an MLS camp. I went to the Wizards one twice and its really pretty cool. Its a nice experience- you get to play on high quality fields (I got to play at arrowhead and the inddor facility), meet and play with a lot of high class players, and you also get better as a player. So if you live in the area of an MLS team and are under 18 or have a kid, go!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of price range do these camps tend to cost? Because I want attend the DC United one this summer and I have not decided how seriously to consider it because I have not found any information on the cost.

The KC camp was $130. I looked at the DC website to look for a price for you, but didnt see anything. It said something about a $100 deposit, so its at least $100

i didn't really like the coerver camp much, probably only because i'm strictly a keeper.... field players on my team said they loved it. this summer i'm going to the UCLA camp.... playing with college level players sounds fun. the only other camps i've been to were camps my highschool put on. The UCLA Elite Goalkeeper program costs $495 dollars. the regular advanced program is $345... don't know about elite regular or advanced goalkeeper. they have a website... if you're in florida i recommend you check it out.

I went to Air Force Acadamy and No. 1 Striker camp as a kid (mid-90s).

Both were pretty good quality, though No.1 was much more demanding. I was near the bottom of the talent level at both camps, which is not a surprise (I only played one year of varsity soccer).

    I'd recommend No. 1 first, I think.

I just got back from the Elite Goalkeeper camp at the University of Central Florida, and I must say it was the best camp I have ever been to. They have coaches from all over the world, most of them ex-pros. It is EXTREMELY demanding... nine hours of soccer per day for 5 days with All-American players. I really got to play up, which is always a great experience considering I feel that I myself stepped up a level. the 10-to-1 player-to-coach is better than what they have at most other camps, and they work on tactics and skills and all both on and off the field (off field means nutrition, working out, etc. ). The food wasn't bad, either. It's not all drills. There are highly competitive games every night, which, to me, are the the highlight of it all... just the competition and excitement and all.... great fun. I would highly recommend it.

UK Elite, for all of us who live in Jersey, was quite good in my opinion.

I went to the SC Gamecocks camp. It was a good camp and i learned a lot. I think it costs like 250 for 4 days and it was called the premier camp. We practiced 3 times a day and got to play indoor at least once a day.

I went to soccer camp at UNC this summer, it was pretty bad soccer-wise. I also went to soccer academy which was really good, and number 1 camp which was good too. I would really recommend coerver camps though, everything good I've learned at soccer camp has been from coerver!!!
