Hey folks, My brother and I are driving down from Boise, ID to see the Wizards/Galaxy game this weekend. Are there any decent campsites within an hour or so of the stadium? Thanks, RSM
here's a start: http://www.parks.ca.gov/parkindex/region_info.asp?regiontab=0&id=8 You need reservations. Just go to http://www.google.com and put in "los angeles area campsites" or anything like that and you'll find stuff. Google is a wonderful thing. I think Al Gore invented it but I'm not sure.
A couple of suggestions: Las Palmas State Beach in San Pedro, which is really cool, or Dockweiler State beach near LAX, which isn't quite so cool, but you can bonfire on the sand until midnight.
Thanks NSlander, I appreciate all the help. So are we going to party are what? Hell, I would love to but my bro and I have an 18 hour drive ahead of us...whatever camp site we find will only be a place to lay our weary heads. And maybe have a couple beers before we fall asleep. But we will get in at about 2 am, so I am "banning all tailgaiting and drums" because soccer fans are darn hooligans!!! especiallygalaxyfans
Hey fluidmaster. I'm heading your way in a week. Going to No Idaho via Denver. Too bad I'm missing the Gal v Colorado game because I'm leaving Denver the day of their match. It really sucks but I'm joining Blitz Boy that night to watch the game. I'm also trying to get hold of Coach to tell him that I'm on my way in case he can let me sleep on his couch in exchange or Galaxy booty. Actually depending on how I feel and when I get there I might just join him for lunch or dinner. Hey, Coach e-mail me at work. If anyone has stuff for them bring to Sat's day and I'll pass it on. I'm arriving at Rathdrum on Friday and leaving at 6am Sat. to make our game. I'm going to be tired that game. Linda
