Anyone have details on the US training camp, pre-Wales match? Have heard there's a 2PM scrimmage Friday vs. the Quakes, but where are they staying and training? (Sorry if this thread already exists somewhere.)

Friday Scrimmage against Quakes Frank Yallop confirmed there is a scrimmage on Friday against the US team, he just didn't say where or when. Call the Quakes office Friday morning and get it out of them. By the way, I personally bought a group of 20 tickets for Monday's game and sold them all to "rookie" fans in 3 days. Scrimmage happened at 2 p.m. at Stanford. Small crowd gathered. A couple nice goals. Donovan looked sharp. Suarez also look solid, making DMB (aka Twiggy) look ineffective. Cannon made a great save and gave up a crappy goal off a header (but in a real game would have probably crushed the forward to make the save). (Note: Cannon yells very loud, very often). Manny Lagos played, and actually looked pretty good, I guess trying to earn a place on the squad in the future. Convey had a couple good possessions, but spent most his time on the opposite side of the field, so hard to judge his overall effort. Stewart had a great cross and a couple nice plays. Don't think Petke, Reyna, Agoos or Olsen played or if they did, it was early in the game, which I missed, or they stayed at the far side of the field, which I couldn't see well from my vantage point behind Cannon's goal.
I only be able to get the second half after my department outing at Mountain View. The US second half lineup: Goal--Cannon; Defense (left-right): Vanney-Brown-Suarez-Mulrooney; Midfield (left-right): Lewis-Donovan-Kirovski-Stewart; Forward--Ching-Esky; Earthquake: Goal--Conway; Defense (left-right): Gonsalez-Agoos-Robinson-Roner; Midfield (left-right): Alvarez-Convey-Lagos-Russell; Forward--Muleen-Jamal It played as a scrimage. No hard tackle, but did see Suarez pushed Mullen twice and that resulted a free kick. Agoos put that up and Roner finished. Steward hits the post once and Esky has a one open shoot that went to keeper. In US side, you may not believe, but Jovan really looks good with his skill. Vanney and Lewis not impressive. In Quake side, Convey is very good to directing traffic and Lagos has some good run. After game, I talked with many of them (I am too old to get signature!): I gave congratulation to Brian Ching for making US team. And before I talked with Landon, he was busy to signing for kids and left. I said "Welcome back home" to both Suarez and Brown, but has no chance to say something with Joe and he was the one being interviewed all time. I also shake hand with old man Burce and he found one of his friend is here. I also told Coach Yallop that as long as we beat LA I will be happy. Told Mullan needs to score more goals and he should have three goals last game and he smiled on that. It was a fun afternoon.
mistaken identity? As far as I know, DMB was not called in for this match with the Fire playing at home on Sunday, I can't imagine why he'd be there for this scrimmage.
