    Astonishing match

    Cameroon-Zimbabwe 5-3
    (HT: 3-1)

    Peter Ndlovu (Z) 8', 46'
    Patrick Mboma (C) 30', 43', 63'
    Modest M'Bami (C) 38', 65'
    Esrom Nyandoro (Z) 88'

A new record for goals in a CAN match.

My friend in London was disappointed that this, not the Algeria, match would be broadcast on the BBC. He thought it would be boring.

Zimbabwe were once set to qualify for USA 94. But they met Cameroon, who just about scraped through.

A great match to watch. Cameroon plays such interesting soccer and new player Makoun is quite a find.. They went all out on attack and while Zimbabwe scored three times Cameroon always looked the more dangeroud team and could have scored more than the 5 they did. In the end this team will find a way to win the African title again.
