I almost feel sorry for Zambia having to face Cameroon smarting from that opening loss to Egypt. Cameroons players have blood and fire in their eyes today. Beautiful football. It's nice to see the fine form of Africa's powerhouses like Cameroon and CIV. Too bad that Nigeria has been such a disappointment. And considering that WC qualifying is around the corner...

Anyways Cameroon looks like they will be fine and Eto'o is having some good looks today but they don't really need him today.

I think that Cameroon was on the mark today, but is it me or did Zambia basically hand Cameroon all 5 goals. Great game by Cameroon vs an extremely poor one from Zambia.

But Samuel Eto'o is one of my 5 favorite players so it was nice to see him tie the record, even on a penalty kick.

No. Cameroon didn't even have to work to get any of the goals in question. Three of those goals were practically own goals (handball, second and last goal). The first resulted from a bad wall and stupid foul on the edge of the penalty area. The third was the only goal that was in any part due to Cameroon play.

Can a defense ever play this poorly?
    Apparently yes!

3 of the goals looked like goals you see watching a pick- up game in the park.
The PK was very questionable--- as a referee, it seems to me the hand/ arm was in anatural jumping position. Then again, Referees in major tournament tend to view the ball touching players hands & arms more cynically.

I felt like early on that Zambia was looking not to lose (aka playing for a draw). This isn;t when they at their best. In every game I'v watched, they were dangerous when they were pushing forward creating chances.
