And they won too. 2-4, away win (second away win of the season, third overall). No CCV. IMO our guy has been a weak spot for them, too many turnovers when trying to kick the ball out of the back.
Mourinho has always been about strong center backs rather than playing out of the back - at least he doesn't expect it from both CBs. Does that give CCV a shot at being a backup CB next year or is he a career Championship player like Holmes?
Unlike Miazga, who may fill in in some just-promoted Championship club, from all I've seen of CCV I'd say he's more likely to spend his life among the lower-half of the Championship table. He's not EPL quality.

Oatcake thread, grain of salt, but for those curious about fans opinion of a recent performance. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/292172/carter-vickers
So, the short of it is that he's been played out of position at right wingback the last few games and the fan reaction is mixed, but mostly people think he's clearly not a wingback (duh) but that he's also not to blame for less than stellar wingback play.
There's plenty of blame to throw about in that team. The good news is that CCV is gone in May. PS: He's played RB only the last two games, due to injuries.
not many other places to get reviews of how he’s playing, (actually only place since no one here is watching his games).
Not a criticism at all! I was glad that you posted that link and wanted to share what I gathered from it, since, as you note, no one here is watching his games.
Championship games are hard to find. I have to use streams, "borrowed" from the ones supported by each club (like FulhamTV or Derby's RamsTV, etc.). I can watch our guys BUT I cannot share the links, since usually sharing means the place gets shut down.
MON: "Cameron Carter-Vickers had to leave the squad due to illness and Badou is suffering from a virus. Peter Etebo will play for the Under-23s given the amount of time he has been out."— Stoke City FC (@stokecity) December 9, 2019
And following that, officially not in the squad for today's league match v. Luton Town. Ryan Shawcross went off injured early, so their CB corps is dwindling.
The Good: With their win over Sheffield Wed., Stoke is finally out of the relegation zone. The Bad: They climbed out of the last-place hole since they benched CCV. The Ugly: CCV is not even making the squad, and has five months left of his loan there.

CCV's contract with the Spuds ends in the summer of 2021 and I doubt they'll extend. So wherever he goes, he has to make an impression because right now it's looking grim.
Think it would be good for him to get a permanent move, settle somewhere. Wouldn't rule out a move to the US, he'd be one of the better defenders of the league and it would help him establish him in the national side as well. Celtic would be a good move too, think they'll need to replace Ajer soon and it's a league CCV could grow in. I assume Mourinho will have a look at him in training before taking a decision though, you never know.
