Norwich City has shown interest in Cameron Carter-Vickers, a source close to the player confirmed today to me. Although there has been no discussions between them and Tottenham, it could happen if the right price comes in. #USMNT #THFC— Larry Henry Jr (@lhenry019) July 23, 2021
I agree entirely about level of competition, and that holds for every other EPL club over the last decade - except Newcastle. Rafa defied gravity for 3 seasons and Bruce has been living off of the squad and the tactics he inherited. Every time Bruce tries his own ideas, they drop into the relegation struggle and, like clockwork, he reverts back to Rafa's gameplans, which convinces nobody but especially nobody in the dressing room. This will be his third season in charge, and 18 of the 26 players he inherited are still there, with the most influential players increasingly dismissive of the coach - there was a near-rebellion last season. That's a squad in real need of renewal, of approach as well as personnel. If CCV signs the usual 3-year deal at Newcastle, there's a very real chance that he'll be facing Championship sides in 13 months or be made a scapegoat for the team's renewed struggles. Then the same people sneering at Celtic will be wondering why CCV has such a hard time getting a solid berth. That's without the fans in the stadium. If they're allowed back . . . watch out.
championship is still better than Scottish prem overall. That said, Newcastle may be in a relegation battle, but slots 11-15 in the table seem more likely. If Celtic and Gers had any competition then I’d be higher on the Scots - but they simply don’t On top of that, if he acquits himself well and Newcastle is a dumpster fire, the epl shop window is far more visible in case of the Newcastle drop
Proud day in the Carter-Vickers household as Cameron's father's former team, the French national basketball team, posts a huge win over the USA

I'm starting to think many hears ago @Dirt McGirt put a curse on me and we are now doomed by the gods to have 1 player at NUFC at all times... just to torment me. (saw reports NUFC now ahead of Celtic fwiw.)
https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-...entina-defender-cristian-romero-from-atalanta Spurs sign a new CB. Looks like there is even less room for CCV, not that anyone actually thought he would stay on this roster. I am really hoping he gets a premier league loan as I think he could do pretty well.
I’d rather he just gets sold to a lower premier league side. Enough of Miazga and CCV on their year after year loans like an unwanted foster kid.

From the Telegraph: Bournemouth are interested in taking Tottenham's Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan again after his move to the Vitality Stadium last season. The 23-year-old played 26 times during his spell at the club and is set to be allowed out for the season. It's the same reporter who broke the Jordan Morris to Swansea loan earlier in the year, so I'm assuming he's somewhat reliable.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...ham-transfer-news-summer-transfer-window-2021 Thursday 12 August 2021 07:57, UK Cameron Carter-Vickers - Celtic have been told they will need to stump up for Cameron Carter-Vickers because the American star wants to leave Tottenham for good (Daily Record, August 2); Celtic are interested in signing the Tottenham defender (Daily Record, July 23).
Everything is a rehash of something else. They included the date of the original rumor. The juicy part is that CCV wants to leave.
They didn't throw out their youth squad either, that's a solid A-B (probably emphasis on the B) squad.
