Sorry, we did not have a bunch of good chances. We had 4 shots on goal, a couple of which were kind of dangerous. We were terrible.

A few of the good chances didn't result in shots on goal as the shots ended up in Row ZZ.

How many good chances does a team usually get in a soccer match? Just a gut feel, but it doesn't seem like it's usually too many. While we didn't have an overwhelming number, we had enough to win if they were converted rather than put into the Yard.

I don't remember a ton of shots even. Kerry almost put in a wonder volley. I don't know if you can expect those to go in.

Josh should've done better because he's Josh, but I wouldn't have expected Davy or Sealy to put it in. The point is, we weren't nearly dangerous enough, especially at home to a team that had only won twice this year.

You're right, it's completely ridiculous to suggest a different outcome if Josh had scored instead of almost putting the ball in the yellow seats.

No he's saying it's completely obvious that saying a different outcome would've happened if we scored 2, and it's something John Madden would say on television. :D

please keep posting, kaiser - we need more honesty like this. we have a guy in jermaine hue who gets cut, meanwhile sealy starts for us. and we're also paying league max for johnson/wolff so we can watch them turn the ball over. boy this is exciting to watch.

Hue got cut because he wasn't going to play. They cut him for his good (and may still re-sign him if he clears waivers). He and Sealy don't play the same position, or the same style at all. And why wouldn't Sealy start? He's shown he can score goals in this league while Jermaine Hue hasn't even shown enough in practice (or in his limited time in games) to get time...

As for Wolff and Johnson being overrated: Josh Wolff has had 10 goals in two straight seasons for the Wizards. He's had three 10 goal seasons in his career. Last year he had 10 goals and 10 assists in only 22 matches because he was gone for the Gold Cup (projected out to a full season that's 15 goals and assists, which would have been enough to win him the Scoring Title in four MLS seasons - and two of the last three.)
Eddie Johnson had a 12-goal MLS season at age 20, and had five goals in 15 games last year (projected out it's more than a ten goal season).

    who's lying?

the person you should be complaining about turning the ball over is burciaga, not ej/wolff. complain about them because they've only put the ball in the net (which is why they're paid the big $$) for a combined total of 3 times in all competitions this season. maybe ej and burciaga should switch positions for a game... that'd be interesting. might as well have your leading scorer play the appropriate position.
i do still hope we re-sign hue. i just think he could prove to be critical when the injury bug is sure to finally come calling.
