Exactly if you don't play nice and ask softball questions you don't get to ask any questions if you are trying to be a reporter.
No I am not him but perhaps you should talk to Lawrence Dockery at World Soccer Talk about his experience..
Obviously once they hired Crocker, Cone and Batson told this to Wynalda and no one else. Because of the long standing close relationship both have with him.
Have any insiders from the US Soccer/MLS disputed it though? The majority of our soccer media is very pro-USMNT and are basically fans of the team. If this was 100% false some of them would be disputing this. There's at least some smoke to this rumor.
I’d point you to the Tannenwald article this week. But no one takes the time or effort to try and disprove anything Wynalda says because no one takes him seriously and his reputation is not one of being connected within USSF. Meanwhile the reporters who follow US Soccer have pretty much uniformly advocated for the firing of Berhalter post Copa America.
Whoever came up with the "building block for 2026"line of thinking needs to go. This is a giant soccer month and it is getting a lot of attention. Some people didn't seem to get that.
This obsession with throwaway coachspeak lines is funny, and ridiculous. It’s of a piece with one of us schmucks starts a thread “calling out” Crocker. It’s like a setup for an SNL skit.
I think you have MLS derangement syndrome. For you everything is MLS fault. On another note, Canada (with MLS players) moved on to the semis and with a coach that was supposedly an option for us. USMNT X went on a rant saying Marsch was technically a bum and not a good option for USMNT for many reasons. Remember seeing videos of several of those YT experts and/or X reporters saying it too. Oh boy! He quietly shut all those "experts" up, Berhalter with whatever beef they got going on and USSF too. Oh yeah, thanks to MLS Canadian teams Canada NT could afford to get Jesse Marsch.
Why should we believe some dude who calls Crocker Betty? Being childish reduces someone's credibility. If I throw random crap out there it's my job to prove I'm right. Not someone else's job to prove me wrong.
A bunch of people on here called Gregg.... Beerholder. But again your shooting the messager. It's a common theme on this site.
If it is real, it'll be confirmed by a real journalist at some point. Plenty of these things are "reported" but never come true. Some do. The standards of what is a reportable rumor for these guys is very low.
Here's a hot tip for any wannabe journalist out there. There's a standard of impartiality, integrity and professionalism that is required for credibility. If you call the head coach or sporting director by stupid, childish names, no one is going to believe you are credible, professional or impartial, except the incredibly gullible folks who desperately want to believe. Journalists are supposed to report the truth. Not make clickbait youtube vidoes for USMNT ragers. You can do one or the other, but you can't do credibly do both. Because if you have enough dislike or are trading off that much dislike, you can't have credibility, even if you might be reporting something true.
He’s not shooting anyone. He’s questioning your reliance on him. The fact that you can’t deal with someone asking you to take a second and evaluate the source indicates you think the goal here is to win an argument. Me, we’re here to discuss soccer with other fans.
ur so angry in every thread its getting old. maybe go find something that you enjoy? every persons post upsets you so much ur so angry this really is supposed to be fun.
I've finally decoded your comments. "Angry" = factually correct. I get that you and others just want to vent or make up shit, but that's not what I like to do. I'm not angry nor upset. What I enjoy is actually discussing sports in a detailed manner. Until the rules of this message board dictate that it's for venting or memes only, I'll continue to post as I like. If you don't want people responding to you, maybe start a blog.
Co-signed Especially the last sentence. A lot of posters think this is a lecture or a blog, a one way conversation where people say what they think. To me, it’s a discussion board, a virtual coffee shop or meeting place. It’s not Speaker’s Corner.
ur not factually correct ranting about everyones posts and everyones youtube video ranting about journalist ethics. It comes across angry and jealous especially now that those youtube videos have been proven to be true. ur not discussing sports ur interrupting other people trying to by crying about journalistic ethics lol. post whatever you want just know ur not impressing anyone with ur behavior.
do you not read his posts? he wants a one way conversation he wants every post to go through some journalistic ethics investigation because he wrote for the student newspaper in high school lol. that is the definition of one way traffic.
I'm not impressing you, clearly, but luckily for me, I don't really care about that. But this thread really isn't about your impression of me, so maybe we just move on. What about those youtube videos has been proven true?
I see the issue. You think someone disagreeing with you is telling you that you can't post. I can see how you might be threatened by someone pointing out the lack of verifiable source data or in many cases, straight out inaccuracies. Me responding to your posts is not wanting a one way conversation, nor have I asked for any filtering of posts. You, however, seem to have an issue with anyone commenting on said posts.
I might have actually believed you about discussing soccer if you hadn't started things out with accusing me of morning drunk posting. It's hard to believe someone who says they are taking the high road when they start out in the gutter.
If you didn’t care you wouldn’t keep trying to justify itself. Take ur nonsense to some journalism message board.
