Well, I've debated on whether or not to post anything about this, but I figured I can count on all of you. I'm going to be going through some pretty scary / serious medical exams over the next week or so. The weight of them has kind of kept me from enjoying our recent announcements as much as I would like. It's very much in my nature to expect the worse and worry constantly (must be the Negadelphian in me?). Tomorrow I'm going to be in a doctor's office sometime around 12 noon for some preliminary consultation and tests. I'm hoping you'll all keep me in mind around that time, and maybe even say a prayer to whatever deity you deem appropriate (Fonzie is perfectly acceptable). I really want to celebrate with all of you when the team is finally announced, and be there with all of you to cheer on the team in our stadium!! I'll definitely keep everyone updated, especially if everything comes out the way I'm hoping it does. Until then, just keep me in mind! Thanks SoB's!
hang in there, pal. you're an SoB ... you're as tough as nails. rest assured the SoBs are behind you 110%. i hope all goes well and you can put the upcoming week behind you thinking it wasn't as bad as anticipated. you will be in my thoughts and prayers. best of luck to you.
I hope everything works out. Coincidently, DC United's Jamil Walker posted something on his website yesterday, and while it's directed at sports injuries it's actually some very sound advice for any medical condition. http://www.barefootballer.com/Injury-Prevention/Coping-with-an-Injury.html
I am saddened to hear of this news. I will be praying for you (to God), most assuredly. May you be granted peace in your heart and a positive outcome.
How about if we pray to the Fonz, God, little baby Jesus, Zeus, Vishnu, L. Ron Hubbard, and Buddha? I believe that covers almost all our bases. Chin up dear, I'm sure everything will be alright. Good luck with your tests!
Feel better, Wilford. Don't be out too long, we need that clinical scoring boot of yours. Fonzy be with you.
I hope everything works out man. Hope we still get to play on the same field together. Good luck and God speed.
Celt--good luck brother. Whatever it is we know you'll get through it. Keep this week's news in the back of your head as inspiration. Estamos contigo (we're with you!)
Well just to update everyone on my first appointment. They are 90% sure of what is going on, and it's not the worst that I was thinking. However, I still need to do get a more thorough test this Thursday morning at 7am. After that is done they will know 100% if I'm in the clear. I'm terrible when it comes to anxiety, so even though the doctor is 90% sure it's nothing serious, my mind still keeps pointing to the possible 10% . I'll be around the boards this week, though, and, if I get a chance, on Thursday I'll give another update, and, if not, I'll definitely give an update on Friday.
