Ok, this might be a long shot, but I'm looking for any Fire fans living in the Tampa Bay area to start a Fire supporters club. As a die hard Mutiny fan for six seasons (I was there for the Mutiny's first game in 1996, and attended its last game in 2001) the bitterness of losing my beloved Blues still stings. But my love for soccer is too great to abandon my country's first division league. So I'm throwing my soccer allegiance to Chicago (my ancestoral home). If there are any Fire fans out there in the Tampa/St. Pete area -- or any frustrated Mutiny fans looking for a new team -- I encourage you to help me form a Fire's supporters club in Tampa. There's a soccer friendly bar near the Ice Palace that I believe would be more than willing to show Fire games on satelite. We are in Orlando and would be happy to make the trek over for games. The biggest obstacle is having 2 boys playing on premiere teams with games all of the time. But we would do our best. Keep me informed.
Just a suggestion: You might do well to make it cover the entire SE...I know there are several groups of fans in Atlanta, Alabama and such and you might find more sucess taking them into consideration too. Best of luck to you all.
Just to go along with the thought of this thread, does anyone know of a group of Fire fans in the South West? I recently moved to AZ, and I need some fellow Fire fans here in my exile.
