Three of our finest, Danny, Kevin and Jovan, have been called up to the USMNT by IL Bruce for the game against Haiti set for Orange Bowl on Saturday. Another long-haul international flight for these guys back from France. But, it does give a certain local interest to the game.

MLSNET says the game is available on DirecTV on a PPV basis.

I'm happy to see Hartman getting an opportunity, as I think he is one of the 'better keepers in the US. Yeah, I know he's not cracking The EPL Troika anytime soon, but he's definitely at the top of the next group. (What's this infatuation with Adin Brown?).

Is there anyone you'd rather have in goal for the Galaxy than El Gato?

    Hartman on the Nats

I've never understood why Kev doesn't get more love from the Bruce, but a recent trip to the HDC confirmed the urban legend that "he just does do it in camp." I watched him v. the U-23's that were getting ready for Mexico. In 30 minutes he looked awful. He couldn't play with his feet, he couldn't catch the ball and he looked tentative coming off his line in pressure situations (although, truth be told, I'd be terrified too if Albright was my right back). This guy has been money for my Galaxy since he came to the league, and I thought Bruce's skepticism was biased in some way. Its not! El Gato was horrible, and I'm a huge fan. Let's hope that like many he keepers he matures late, and goes to Germany as the #3. Come on Bruce, give Kev a shot!

Not much has changed since the 1999 MLS Cup, eh?

I still think that Kevin played a *HUGE* role in our getting crushed 5-2 in that game against San Jose in the playoffs last year, on two of the crossed and headed goals, he didn't come out, did'nt command his area and flapped at the ball like he couldn't care less.....

This will mean we see a lot of new faces in the "friendly" Friday v. Quacks.

Sorry, just sendin' tough love to our southern California brethren. Hope Kevin does well if he gets the chance against Haiti.
