Manafa's superkick sent the Maritimo dude flying while holding his leg even though the death blow was at the ribs. Shawn Michaels would be so proud of this superkick That fall remined me of that time when Scott Hall oversold the stunner where he was suspended in the air for a few seconds
Hyperbole aside, Manafa rolls over and kicks out at the defender. Regardless of how much force he used or how much Hermes sold it, how is that not a red card?
The ref didn't think it was. My opinion won't change your mind. The kickout was kind of soft. The Maritime player even had to try and oversell the crap out of it in hopes to get the call. We will just go with the default "PDC must of paid off the ref yet again". The dude must be bankrupt by now. How much does each PK cost these days? Are there covid specials?
Boy you really love putting words in people's mouths, Vic. It's either that, or trying to come up with a false narrative that literally nobody is implying. I've already stated it multiple times. Here's the recipe: Have some calls go against you OR play like shit against the minnows of this league. Blame the referees for the fact that your team is garbage and can't create chances unless Taremi flops to the floor calling for PKs or unless Corona has moments of genius. Have your coach claim that the refs robbed his team. Then have your Director of Communications and President whine. Hang banners in the stands criticizing the referees (an offence that would lead to punishment if it was any other team). Refs feel intimidated and threatened to call anything against your team and favor your team with bogus PKs, and allow your team to get away with red-card challenges. Rinse & repeat. Does that make it clear enough?
Cagao thread is getting too serious. Is there a safe place left to troll anymore? Not putting words in anyone's mouth, just saying it's always the same stuff over and over. I guess you will say because it is the same stuff over and over. It is what it is.
poor benfica, and the 100 year curse still continues how bad are our teams in Europe league is shit and its going to continue until all our clubs stop buying shit cheap foreigners and start investing in our local talent who will play for the shirt and give 110% every time.
It is up to the referee to determine whether they give a red or not - not every decision is black or white, there is a lot of grey in the rules. I wouldn't complain if this was given a red but I can understand why it would only be a yellow. It is up to the referee on the day to make that call.
SELL SELL SELL!!!! Local talent will always get pimped out to the highest bidder. Look at Fabio Silva, the kid should be be in the FC Porto B team getting minutes and going to the main team every now and then but he is getting destroyed in the EPL.
Of course you would "understand if he only got a yellow", you're Porto homer. The fact that you can't be objective about the rules and how they apply equally to all players and clubs just shows how delusional you are. Kicking out at players with your studs is a red card offense.
Lmfao bro. This a soccer forum. Everyone is here to talk soccer, not compare out personal lives. My comment is related to his playing ability. I don't see the hype. At all. 40 minutes okayed and he's dove for 2 PKs and y'all are ready to crown him the next Deco. But if you want to compare personal lives, I would be more than happy to do so with you.
He was/is a promising youth player. We literally fed him to the wolves. Missed opportunity. I'm still hoping he can develop.
No, dipshit, you said you could understand that it was just a yellow when it clearly should have been a red card. Your bullshit "it's-up-to-the-referee" nonsense completely ignores the fact that it is a red card offense.
This is why the refs are so fvked up in our league if it was any other club outside the big 3 it’s a pen it’s a free kick it’s red card etc
In my opinion, it isn’t as black and white as you suggest. Anyways, well done on the draw. You guys might actually win something for once.
