I left a remark in Cafe Opera's guestbook, and a guy emailed me today, saying that the side intended to change their name. Anyone heard anything definite about that?
I'm not sure here, but it seems like they've changed their official name from FC Café Opera Djursholm to FC Café Opera United. At least their website uses the later, while they still are officially listed under the former name at the swedish FA's site. Djursholm is a wealthy suburb (the kind of place where you'd presume someone like Catenacci, owner of posh restaurants and the club's founder, lives), and the Café merged with the local club Djursholms IF quite a few years ago. The Café Opera Djursholm name is now used for the youth teams. The first team has since not so long, I think less than a year, a cooperation agreement with premier side AIK. I've got no facts to support this, but I think there might be a connection between all this and the name change. It's not much of a name change anyway.
