Just looked at his stats for this year's tournament...

He's at 90% passing completion and he is the leader of the competition on roubadas and only Marcelo Oliveira has more good passes in the competition as F. Bastos. While Douglas has an 83% passing rate and is much worse passer.

He is the player with most attempted shots and most misses.

Seriously, well below 50%? Why would you even post that? That just shows that you're being biased against a player. I don't think there's a professional player out there with less than 75% passing rate.

I guess it's time for him to move... He can only offer you so much, that's my whole point on Bastos, he won't be that player scoring from outside the box all year long, he'll have 4-6 goals in a year like that, people expect more from him in that perspective.

He won't be the best player in the world, he'll be a very functional DM.

really, have you even watched Grêmio matches? I don´t know where these stats come from, but I can only guess if they are true, Felipe Bastos passes a lot backwards, because any pass he attempts forward is not completed. Or maybe the site you look at doesn´t consider long balls as passes.

It does actually, he's only behind the gk on lançamentos, but he does attempt a lot of then it seems. Footstats.com

So is bernardo leaving or staying? I keep hearing different stuff. Didn't Doriva say he was going to give him a second chance?

really Guigs... I think your fellow Vascaínos were more right than you. These footstats are deceitful.

and as a cherry on the top of my cake, Felipe Bastos got a yellow card with 2 minutes of gameplay yesterday and then made a sloppy slow pass backwards that was intercepted by Neymar, who then scored the 2nd goal that nailed Grêmio's coffin.

Had Felipe Bastos NOT screwed up by GIVING Internacional a goal, Grêmio would have tied 1-1 and been champions!

Just saying, he's still the starter a Gremio for a reason.

the reason was Felipão. Roger, who wanted a passing game, decided Bastos was not needed at Grêmio.

Gremio is having a good year, so the players in the field will be praised. Same as Bastos was praised in the good year. But Douglas (who is an excellent passer) doesn't mark at all. He works as a terquarista but that's about it.

As long as Vasco keeps beating Flamengo, Eurico won't have trouble controlling the minds of supporters. All of the claims he has made and attacks on Dinamite, he ended up doing the complete opposite of his claims and does worse than Dinamite. He said they wouldn't get relegated under his watch, and they did.

Dinamite couldn't get 1 player to sign extensions. Couldn't get 1 court order in his favor. Couldn't get 1 loan to be accepted.

Eurico comes in and all liens are removed? All of the sudden the court orders start Going through? Players ar signing releases and extensions favorable to vasco? They are able to get loans again?

Yet nobody questions it because they are "winning".

Clearly he used his influence to block dinamite. As soon as he is the president he uses his influence to unblock vasco.

Eurico is my personal Texeira. Dirty cartola, lacks professionalism, simply a thug gangster.

im not seeing how eurico getting players to sign extensions when dinamite failed is even a valid critisism of eurico or makes him dirty. Sure he is dirty but it's Rio de Janeiro. Him getting nene and probably putting together the best or top3 serie b team in history is praiseworthy.

Indirectly soccer related: Eurico Miranda died today, March 12, 2019 at the age of 74. Cause of death: complications from brain cancer.

One of the passions of my life, I love you Vasco!

Unfortunately the current club officers do not understand what is vasco many of them nor are vasco and my club suffers a lot from it.

Yes, reminds on that first club World Cup in late 90's against Corinthians.
Helton played, just like Odvan, Jorginho, Felipe, Amaral, Edmundo, Romario...
