Need a stud CB (Rodolfo ain't that) and that's it. Yeah, we have depth even before the signing, but can't trust Ze to get out of his own way. His tactics actually haven't been bad, but his player selection and possibly man management are his undoing.
And I heard ponte wanted vizeu and he wanted to come but you guys put a stop to that. I'm not really seeing his purpose especially since berrio can play in the middle. Why pay big money for a winger who can't cross ? So I think vizeu is 4th on that CF hierarchy so why not ?
And what about mancuello ? Me and you aren't his biggest fans but when I've seen him this year he has looked good. Yet he's never in the fold. I wonder if you add these players if some will go. Not even speaking from just a ponte perspective , big clubs could use many of those guys on the bench.
True. I know some people who love rodolfo tho. I'm not a huge fan either. You think he'll step in for Vaz or rever ? As crazy as Vaz is it would be hard for me to bench him.
He needs playing time. Honestly, I'd prefer him playing over Damiao. Damiao is just eating up salary and a roster spot. There's plenty of dead weight on this squad. Ze used to coach the youth teams but is reluctant to use them most of the team other than maybe Mattheus Savio. Dead weight: Vaz, Donatti, Mancuello, Gabriel, Damiao, Berrio Para's form has dipped down. He's still better than I would have ever imagined, but it's time to give Rodinei a shot at the job.
Ze doesn't give him a role really. He's better off going to another club. He's always playing in a different position and never gets a sequence of games. He probably steps in for Vaz, but Rodolfo is like a poor man's Rever. I don't like the idea of playing two tall, slow footed CBs. Rodolfo was considered good here whenever he would score header goals, sort of like Rever was during his Atletico-MG and Gremio days. You'd hear more about their goal scoring prowess than their actual defending.
Conca and a bum knee. Who knows what we will really get? Everton Ribeiro is returning from the Middle East, which means he'll probably need months to reach peak fitness. I wasn't as high on him as others were when he was at Cruzeiro. I liked Goulart more.
That Middle East stay may be the worse for any brasileirão player. I remember mengao seeing it then I saw bruno Cesar, caja and osvaldo come back from their looking slow and useless.
I guess we'll see where china ranks after more evidence. But Middle East seems way worse than it. Russia / Ukraine probably better than both but I'm not sure.
