dear bailey, i'm assuming the stars are censoring a word describing your saggy labia. if not i'll be glad to choke on what ever you are describing when i visit cowtown. don't hate the playa' hate the game. love, cameron
Since this is a roadtrip thread, which is meant to be informative and will be referenced a lot in the coming week, I'm going to ask you both stop. Now. No hard feelings.
Cameron: If we all waited to post until someone wanted our opinion - there would be no forum. There is always someone out there who doesn't want your opinion. For instance, you may not like my opinon on your rather crude exchange with Bailey - but it is my opinion and I am entitled to it. Bailey was not trolling and your only objection was to the team Bailey supports. Your only contribution has been to harrass Bailey and be insulting. Bad showing and better left to the rivalry forum. If you strongly feel you must respond to this posting - please feel free to do it by PM and let the thread go back to being about the road trip.
I and a friend will be heading to the game from Indianapolis. We're planning on arriving at least 3 hours before kickoff to tailgate. Looking forward to it!
Got my ticket, now... Yes, the important stuff for a first timer to Columbus, like, where the hell is the stadium. MapQuest doesn't care for this 1 gold & black blvd stuff. Also, what time does the tailgating start, and is there a certain parking lot to use? Anything else I need to know? Peace
Try 1 blackandgold blvd, columbus, oh. It worked for me. If that doesn't work try the 7 digit zip 43211-2091. The map doesn't show the stadium, but it's north of the green section up near the interstate where it curves to the left. (You may need to zoom in a bit.) There is lots of parking. Here are a couple of links with related info that may help: http://www.thecrew.com/stadium/directions.shtml http://www.thecrew.com/stadium/parking.shtml
most importantly, as mentioned before, there is a really cheap liquor store outside of the stadium that sells to you through bulletproof glass. and as far as parking goes just hope is hasnt rained in cowtown lately.
Last time most of the Fire fans were parked south of the stadium. Ask the parking attendants were the Fire fans are and they will direct you to that area (safety in numbers).
Re: Got my ticket, now... exit #111 off of I-71, going either north or south. you will be able to see the stadium, it's about 100 yards West of I-71
Re: Re: Got my ticket, now... Try again Zach... Coming south on I-71, get off at Exit 112...easy access to the stadium from that way... Coming north on I-71, you can get of at Exit 111. BTW, if it wasn't up and running early in the season, there now is a Holiday Inn Express just east of I-71 at Hudson St., exit 112. You can see the hotel from the north end of the stadium.
OSU stadium to crew stade is about 3.5 miles i have walked it before. as long as you are drunk i doesn't seem that long.
Not a good idea to be totally plastered on that walk... veering off course results in being in a rough neighborhood.
I'll be there, but now I may not be in the traveling section with the drums. More news as it develops. And the Ultras should have the big bass drum anyway. I'll e-mail SDB and make sure he knows. Later, COZ
I can almost smell the cowpie already..... Thanks all for the help. I found an address that MapQuest recognized, 2121 Velma Ave 43085. I'll see ya'all around 4:30-5:00 with a cooler full of burgers and beer. Keep an eye out for me - I'll be the guy in the red Fire shirt. (sorry - I couldn't resist) Who's the best?!?
Potential problem: I asked for tickets in the visiting fan section and recieved tickets in section 142...the NE corner, not up high in 113. I hope we're not split up, here. I'll move to 113 anyhow, and they are the same price, but this is worrysome.
