    Carl-Heinz-Rumor-Monger:

Becks - not just a beer, it's also Real Madrid's newest signing.

It is 11:17 pm E.T. Just finished watching sky sports news on Fox Canada,. and it appears that Beckham is Real Madrid Bound.

After this saturday's 4-1 victory at Old Trafford, The players came onto the pitch to thank the fans, although they did not do their "Lap of Honor" as is traditional, there was something much more interesting happening...

Standing on the pitch, Gary Nevill had his arm around Beck's shoulder, and appeared to be "consoling" an emotional Becks.

Sky Sports Television pictures are not conclusive, but appear to show his bottom lip "quivering", and he does appear to have been trying to keep himself composed.

He is Madrid bound. Where he will try to run with the bulls.

As opposed to general rumour mongering as I like to be and as much as a move to Madrid doesn't make sense - that footage was on the ITV highlights show over here last night.
And even my cynical self saw something amiss. Beckham did seem a little more 'emotional' than necessary.
It was then proposed after doing some serious lip reading that Beckham said to Neville "I've been having talks" - what the hell that might mean, I really haven't a clue.
But this has slightly dented my resolve that he's not going anywhere soon.

He'll be disappointed as they're in Pamplona :)

They just won a title not NOBODY thought they would win as of a couple of months ago. Could this justify his emotional response?

No, as they only won the title today after Arsenal lost to Leeds.

You clearly underestimate Becks' ability to time travel.

    That's it!!

I've had it with you Beckham apologists!
He's a crap footballer and with that whole time-travel thing .... half the Brazilian squad can do that just as well, if not better.

If there's one thing the Simpsons has taught me, Brazilians invented time travel.
"Look at that, I'm the first non-Brazilian to travel backwards through time."

So yes, Beckham is arguably the most famous time travelling footballer in the world, he's hardly the best.

I hate to say it, especially since ****s like Motterman are always badmouthing Arsene Wenger, but Beckham is not a crap footballer. If he was, he wouldn't constantly be linked with the best side in the world. I personally think he'll go, but he may regret it...

All the rumors regading a big signing were denied before, Madrid denied once again (just as they did with Ronaldo 9 months ago) with Beckham, so I think he will be a ******** blanco player next season.

On second thought, who knows, maybe Milan is the one knocking at David's door, I read an article (unfortunately in spanish) in which Milan vicepresident was quoted saying he would sign one of three stars next year: Becks, Figo or Ronaldo.

The Brit. press is currently trying to link Arsene Wenger to a move to Milan at the moment. Amazing how they make these wild stabs at a story.

I can't see Milan being able to afford the transfer fee for Beckham, though it might be a better fit than Madrid for him.

Easy target. Especially the quotes from yesterday and today. And the arrogance that some Arsenal fans are showing: "You didn't win it really, we lost it." almost parrot Wenger's graceless concession speech to a T.

    "Best team in England"?

    Who's lost the plot?

What's more, is that after you guys complained about me posting anything in the Arsenal group, I left and have promised not to return. Even being lambasted after I already left I didn't respond. I don't want a freaking medal for it, but lay off for fuxake.

So it's official then. He's going to Madrid! :)

I remember reading the statements from Ronaldo, his agent, Inter and Madrid that there had been no contact or talks about his transfer....a few weeks later he was in Spain.

Also, didnt Juventus and Zidane deny all just before he boarded the plane?

I'll have to dig up the official denials issued by Madrid - all I can find are 2nd hand reports.....,

the last 1st hand report I saw that wasnt filtered by 2nd hand sources was the press connference where del Bosque stated that "Beckham was their next big project".....somehow i don't see those as idle chatter.

Whatever floats your boat. You can cut and paste to your hearts content, Beck's staying or leaving is not going to be dependent on whether you predict something happening or not...

The arguments over statements made by Real, United, Becks, Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, etc. in the past - they all mean nothing at the end of the day.

true. but Isnt a Beck transfer rumor what this thread was about?

trying to piece together fact and transfer rumors are what most fans do to fill the void of an off-season.

    btw -"bouyancy" floats my boat.

What would Becks have to do to get people to stop all this transfer speculation? The clubs deny it, he denies it. I mean, I know people/clubs lie, but the move hardly makes sense for either club, or for Becks (except to appease Posh, but I don't think his entire football career rides on that). United won't easily part with their most recognizable face (especially as the American media push begins for him, i.e. 20/20's awful interview) just before the American tour. Real has an already deep and expensive midfield, and Becks would come under as much if not more media scrutiny there. Also, he would probably lose his spot as national team captain if he left, and with the depth of English midfield (see United's own two starters besides Becks) why would he risk it?
Sorry United haters, but it looks like you'll have to deal with Beckham for a little while longer.

    I found it in english!!!

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says his club will sign one of three huge stars this summer.

He also spoke about the future of Rivaldo, who has had a disappointing first season at the club.

"Beckham, Figo or Ronaldo, one of them will wear glorious AC Milan shirt," he said. "Rivaldo will be free to choose his destiny. We'll be pleased if he remains."

While Beckham and Figo have regularly been linked with Milan in the past, Ronaldo is a new name, but a signing that would be particularly sweet for the club's fans given that he previously played for Inter.

"Linked tenuously" you mean. Becks to Milan? cant see it personally. He really enjoys the attention he gets in britain, Madrid offers a high profile as well. Italians and it's media aren't as rabid about following a footballer every breath - they tend not to be interested in a player's social life to the same extent.
Beck & Posh would shrivel and die if they dont regulalry appear in every paper.

Figo does take alot of abuse from away fans, but i can't see "the traitor" moving from the comforts of a known champion, to an unknown.

This is the time of year were every club manager will make claims about the comming year.

Becks to Milan? Sounds interesting... anything can happen - so cant rule it out. I just cant see what they would have to offer him.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this but there's always the issue of Beckham's promotions to take account of.
At the moment there's a series of Pepsi commercials doing the rounds in the UK (don't know about Europe) - featuring Man Utd. Beckham obviously get's head billing of the Man U boys. In the commercial he's obviously wearing the kit. If he gets tranferred anywhere else, he breaks a contract.
Just a thought, as I obviously don't know the exact legal ramifications if indeed this is the case - but it's a reasonable assumption that along with everything else, I don't think he's going anywhere.

And that's despite claims I heard on Sky a few days ago, saying that Brooklyn had already been enrolled in the British school in Madrid.
