That would be nice.
Kuba is playing very well lately. He is having a much better season than MG. Last season it was the other way around, but I think Kuba will do well from now on. If this happens, MG might have a difficult time coming back into the RM position. Borussia are very lucky to have so much depth and Kuba is an example of that. Persic, Kevein G or Zidan ??? They aren't the same class as Kuba. Only Kagawa can can be compared.
That's the funniest shit I've ever read! Keep it coming!!
I hope Kuba keeps up his good play too, but he wouldn't be in the contract position he's in if he ever kept up playing like this.
The reason he's on his way out is because he has one of these great matches then we don't see it again for a month or two......
While I understand fans tend to root for their countrymen, but you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. It seems pretty obvious that you do not watch many BVB games, otherwise, you would not be spewing such nonsense.
Yes, Kuba had a very nice game, but it does not take away from the fact that he has been MIA most of the season.
Next time you consider posting, please re-read your draft several times before you post.
Wow, what a surprise with the reaction I mean really. All I said is that Kuba has played very well lately and that he has a chance to at least make things difficult for MG when he is ready to come back. But I guess I offended the Church of MG Community on here. Either way, MG has been just as inconsitent this season as Kuba has been last year. I had been very critical or Kuba myself (my countryman or not) but lately he has proved to me that he is still one of the best players at BVB.
I think you should know this game enough to realize that a player will often be "out of form" or MIA (as you like to put it) if he isn't getting regualar football. Kuba hasn't. He hasn't had the confidence and playing time required to reach a highlevel of play week in week out. I can say I've watched more Kuba than you have (both at Wisla and PL National Team). And when he is in a leadership position and has playing time he almost never goes below a certain level. Its like that with most players, Kuba is no different.
The fact of the matter is, Kuba WAS GETTING REGULAR FOOTBALL until he got beaten out by a BETTER PLAYER!
Kuba had TWO FREAKIN' YEARS of knowing that as long as he was fit, he was in the starting lineup.
More often than not, he was crap.
And how did Kuba respond to needing to fight for his position?
He whined like a little crybaby.
Dude, we've had years of Kuba showing what he's capable of for a match, two if we were lucky, and then fading into oblivion.
You sitting there trying to blame his plight on "not getting regular football" is laughable. It is a f#cking JOKE!
The reason Kuba doesn't get "regular football" is because he refuses to fight for it.
IT IS ALL HIS OWN FAULT!
Take off the fan glasses and see it for what it really is!
I hope Kuba can play like he did against HSV for the time Götze is out.
I know Kuba is now motivated to show potential new clubs what he can do and show that he deserves to lead Poland into Euro 2012.
For those reasons, I believe we might see more of this good play from Kuba.
But man, don't give this steaming pile of bullshit that Kuba's problems come from lack of regular football.
Again, that's a f#cking joke.
Kuba at Wisla was long time ago....no one questions his talent....but when you get to BL or the Prem or La Liga, you need more than talent to succeed....at Wisla, Kuba simply relied on his talent. That was long time.
Kuba for the PL National team....has been playing much better than he does for BVB....no question....for a myriad of reasons...
how do you know that you have watched Kuba play more than me?....a bit presumptuous on your part...
Kuba has been granted plenty of chances under Klopp to strut his stuff the last two years...but he simply has not developed into the premier mf in the bundesliga everyone has hoped....anyone who watches BVB on a regular basis knows this....
one brilliant game by Kuba evidences one thing only....he was brilliant on that one day...as i said before...no one questions his talent....me, especially - but his overall play has been mediocre
as for Gotze...not sure what your "church" comment implies but I can assure you than no one has blinders on about his play like many "tabloid" newspapers and casual fanboys suggest...there is no denying Gotze's talent, effort, and overall play....he certainly has moments of "shitting the bed" but those are rare...while Gotze may not be worth 30 mil EUR certain muppets suggest...he is a legitimate and important shining piece on a championship team
I think that's the problem here. You had such great expectations of Kuba at the start of his playing days with BVB that you expected he will become the next Figo or Robben. Then, Goetze came out of nowhere and yes he did take Kuba's place rightly, but that was some time ago. Now he is injured and one of the strenghts of this Borussia team is that its coach likes to change things up in the lineup (doesn't favor players) and never really keeps anything set in stone. This is very good for the team, maybe not so much for players like Barrios for example.... I am not saying that Goetze will go Barrios direction, but why this hate for Kuba ??? Goetze can also play other positions and players such as Kagawa are also inconsitent. I would wait to see how things work out, you never know with a 19 year old player (MG). You really don't know what will happen. Apart from great talent (which MG has) you also need the right character and mentality at that age. So I would wait a little and see what happens with him. Until them enjoy Kuba while you can. He is in the top 20-25 right wingers in Europe. That's not bad for a reserve player.
Relax man. What's your problem.... No need to flip out on a suggestion that Kuba has a small chance to knock out MG from the RM. Its football, I've seen many things happen. It matters now, not what happend before.
If that was what caused me to "flip out", I would agree with you. It would have never happened.
However, you also implied that Kuba's "weak play" came from lack of regular football when the exact opposite is true. Kuba was getting regular football until HE LOST IT due to his weak play.
Your "lack of regular football" weak ass excuse for Kuba is what caused me to "flip out."
Kuba will have to do something he's never done before to keep Götze out of the starting lineup.
Live up to hype surrounding him when he joined Dortmund on a consistent basis.
I don't think he has it in him......
Completely agree with Keith.
I think Kuba not being a regular team player all year so far has actually benefited him. His playing style leaves him very vulnerable to injury and when he was regular he was consistently one of the most fouled players in the Bundesliga. He has never been a very durable player, so this time being on the bench has allowed him to possibly be the healthiest hes ever been in a long time. In almost all his appearances this season I cant remember a terrible game from him like so many of you keep mentioning. Sure last season he was very inconsistent and bad on more then a few occasions but you cant let the past blur current judgement. I hope his current form holds for Dortmund and also the national team come Euro. He must be doing something right in training for Klopp to go to Kuba instead of the others with the depth that Dortmund possesses.
Give the guy a break. Don't you think that its sometimes possible that a player reaches a certain age/development (its called his "peak" and takes place, well at age 25-28 so Kuba's age) where he is no longer as inconsistent/injured ??? I am hoping that this is the case with Kuba. He has been in very good form since the end of last year. He has a fantastic pre-season and now has started the second part of the season very well. I have watched Kuba for years also in the Poland NT. When he was younger he was so bloody inconsistent and injured for the NT that it was frustrating. Now he is no longer this way. For the last year and a half (if not more) he has performed very, very well for the NT. I just have a feeling that he may have matured/developed and could be past his inconsistency. One more thing, Kuba has an excellent character for a football player. Because of this he is able to overcome many barriers. I hope that that's what happened along with the Euro/NT extra motive. Another motive is the absence of MG.
Here's the difference. You've got "hope" and bias invested in this player.
I'm calling him as I see him.
And don't talk to me about Kuba's "character." I know what he is and has been over the past four and a half seasons in Dortmund.
I love this guy and I wish he'd done more to EARN his place in Dortmund.
Despite his shortcomings on the field, we BVB fans still love Kuba.
However, most of us also understand that if we're going to continue to move forward, no matter how popular he is, based on what he's actually done, not what we HOPE he will do, Kuba needs to move on.
Could that change? Of course it can.
However, based on what Kuba has done over the past FOUR AND A HALF SEASONS in Dortmund, there is nothing to suggest it will change!
People get all fired up because he had a great game against HSV. I loved to see it. But guess what? As I've told you before and you seem to just ignore in favor of your "hope", WE'VE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE!!
WE'VE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE!!
WE'VE SEEN THIS ALL BEFORE!!
How many times do you have to be shown before you finally decide to get it?!
We've had most of three years of HOPING ourselves every time Kuba has had one of his "European Class Flashes."
After each one, we all HOPED he would keep it up.
HE NEVER HAS!!
So this time we should be even more hopeful?
F#ck that. Let him prove it.
I actually HOPE you are correct and Kuba finally comes around this time. That could only benefit us and him.
But hoping Kuba finally reaches his potential after decent to great performance which comes along once every six weeks to three months has been worse than hearing The Boy Who Cried Wolf 1000 consecutive times.
People other than you and Kuba's other die-hard fans are tired of wasting our "hope" on Kuba only to be disappointed as we have been time and time again.
Again, we've seen it all before........
Robert Lewandowski isn't making that mistake. If Kuba needs any motivation, he's got the best piece of it in his own teammate.
I truly HOPE Kuba comes around. I'd actually love for him to prove himself whether he stays in Dortmund or not. I'd actually love for him to succeed because I actually LIKE HIM!
I LIKE Kevin Grosskreutz too, but if you look at the debate we've had about him in the HSV match thread you would think I hate him. Why? Because whether I like a player or not, I try to see them without bias. I try to see their positives and their faults.
Get this. During that conversation, someone tried to say Grosskreutz is "better", as in "more talented" than Kuba. At least I thought he did. I told that guy "Kuba has more talent in his big toe than Grosskreutz has in his entire body." And I believe this to be true.
However, I also understand the reason Grosskreutz plays regularly and Kuba doesn't isn't because as many Kuba apologists love to suggest (I am not accusing you of saying this) Grosskreutz is a native Dortmunder. It is because Grosskreutz plays with the heart of lion, works like a maniac and makes himself more valuable to the team than Kuba has. Grosskreutz's heart and desire overrides the talent he lacks. Grosskreutz wills himself to be better than his talent level says he should be. I implied in that same message that if Kuba played with half the heart and desire Grosskreutz does, Kuba would not only already have an extension to remain in Dortmund, Kuba would also be a freakin' superstar.
However, it seems Lewandowski is the one playing with that heart and desire after his horrible start to the season.
This is why I said before, if Kuba needs some motivation or inspiration, all he needs to do try to emulate his BVB and Poland teammate.
Hell, he only needs to try to emluate BOTH HIS BVB AND POLAND TEAMMATES!
Before the start of last season, we all thought of Lukasz Piszczek as nothing except a brilliant backup for both outside defender positions. Piszczek got his chance, played with heart and desire and is now the unquestioned starter. He displaced a former Germany international.
THAT IS THE KIND OF HEART AND DESIRE KUBA NEEDS TO SHOW ON A CONSISTENT BASIS AND HAS NOT FOR FOUR AND A HALF SEASONS!!!
Don't sit here and talk to me about what "could" happen. It "could" and "should" have happened before now.
I have "hope" Kuba will finally come through. However, history says he won't. Don't ask me to abandon reality and history in favor of "hope."
It isn't going to happen.........
Again, I truly hope Kuba finally comes around.
But I'll believe it when I see it.......
Kuba and KG showed up again today. So far, so good......
And Kagawa is really being consistent at looking like he did last season as well, huge factor in todays match. Glad to see the 3 of them playing so well together.
I'm wondering if Perisic is being to think his move here was a mistake.
I don't care why Kagawa is playing well. It is just good to see it.
I hope not yet. I think his time is still coming. However, he's going to have one hell of a time displacing Grosskreutz.
Is Reus going to play against BVB when the two clubs meet ? Isnt it going to be strange to play against his future team mates ? Is he going to be motivated to play vs his future club who is challenging for the title? What if he scores ? His future fans wont like it. I dont understand why German clubs buy players and managers 6 months before they are going to get them. After that, conflicts happen.
It happens quite often and is seldom a problem, from my expiriences. He will play as ever, fully motivated and your fans will respect that in a heartbeat. And so he will do next season against Gladbach.
I totally agree with this view.
any updates on this?
As far as I know, the investigation is still on-going.
Of course, someone local can answer this one better.
Some good news
I liked the photo kicker put with their story.......
