Buzz has posted a top ten of Burn insider-history-legend type stories that will satisfy even the most hard core of burn fans. You must check it out. Especially the Percy story. www.3rddegree.net
hahahahahahahahaha, oh man who in their right mind wanted Percy in the first place, that guy didn't do squat. Very interesting stuff Hitman, especially the Lazo thing, jeez what a weenie, I would have given anything to be in his shoes.
"For all intents and purposes HSG has been running the Burn since the summer of '02, even though it was not officially announced till the Spring of '03. So in essence it was HSG, and not Swift, that negotiated the Southlake deal and Jeffries second contract." This one isn't a bombshell like many of the others (excellent list of inside scoop).... Wagner's involvement was not "100%" from a certain date, there was no demarcation line where you could say "before this date HSG was not involved, after this date HSG was involved". -bs
Great List. Its hard to imagine anyone being so stupid as to even thinking of trading away Chris Armas in favor of keeping Nowak. Though I suppose the HSG braintrust should not be under-estimated.
Not to you bs, but you are fairly intimate with HSG and city internal situations. But to the average fan it is probably a bit surprising.
I realize that. I was making a parallel between stupid decisions: Chicago almost trading Armas and HSG moving to the Dragon. Trading Armas (over Nowak) would have been massively stupid. To have mgt even conisder that would be scary - then I think of our team mgt and the decisions they've made and sometimes it makes me scared.
