I've never been to a stand/store at Spartan, so I don't know what they carry...

My ? is if they carry stuff from other MLS teams. do they carry stuff for the visitors? I want to know b/c I'm thinking of buying a Freddy t-shirt. I figure it will garner questions and comments, and then I can tell them about going to a game at Spartan.

    hey, gotta promote the league...

just quakes gear, as it should be.

But you've got to figure that the league will be pushing the merchandise on all stops of the Freddie Love Tour...

not too much action on the Galaxy BS forum. I actually ch-zill at LA Riot Squad. Plus, just like I read local papers to stay informed, I read the local chat boards to stay informed. And every body needs a little reality check every once in a while. ;)

back to the gear... If MLS/SUM get involved in bringing Big Clubs to the US, then part of that should be selling those teams' gear at MLS stadia to line their purses so to speak. AND, I believe strongly in wearing MLS gear. Gotta represent...

It's in the realm of possibility that they would have Adu shirts when DCU visits, but I wouldn't count on it. There is a Freddy t-shirt, long or short sleeve, currently available at www.mlsgear.com

Yeah, but I want Spartan to get some credit. Plus I hate paying for shipping and I like the immediate reward. :)

If the Quakes FO have any common sense, they will have Adu paraphernalia available for purchase at the home opener. I think there will be others besides Carlos who will be looking for that stuff at the game.

You're talking about MLS right? Wow, Mike, after nine seasons you still have such wishful thinking about league marketing? ;)

I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if they had Adu paraphernalia for the May 1st game. :)

Spartan isn't owned by the Quakes, so that doesn't really matter much... I don't know about clothing concessions but for food and parking the Quakes don't earn a cent.

Well, they've got to get it right some time. Besides with all the ADU-lation, I almost wouldn't be surprised to see everything from Freddy ash trays to Freddy Shower curtains. ;)

there shouldn't be a darn thing there with adu on it. it's a quakes home game ... i don't want it to look like a d.c. home game because every curious soccer fan who showed up was able to buy a black d.c. shirt on it.
there'll probably be a lot of non-quake fans who show up. let them identify with and support the home team, not a once-a-year sideshow.
    my two cents.

i don't quite understand this sentiment.

if you go to MLB games or NFL games and go to the "team store", not only can you get merchandise from the home team, but quite often various merchandise from teams and individuals from around the league. i live in san diego, and when i go to galaxy games i have often in vain looked for merchandise from other teams - specifically the Quakes - but in vain. it would have been great to have at least a few optiosn to purchase something direct when i was actually physically present at a MLS-related store.

    just my .02.
