New California Gov.-elect Schwarznegger is pretty busy setting the agenda for his first few months in office.

His first fundraiser is set for December 3.

It's comforting to know that Arnold's gaining an understanding of how Sacramento works. No more of this previous idealist b.s. "not going to play special interests game." That was good talk to sucker in the masses. But this is how we play ball in Sactown.

Yeah, I think Arnold has this governor stuff down pat.

First we got the George W Bush "action" figure, now we have the Arnold "special interests" puppet. Pete Wilson is teaching him well.

Bustamanta. He got elected on his own, not appointed, and he wasn't recalled.

Yes, exactly. There are no Gov.-Lt. Gov. "tickets" in California. Before he was gov, Gray Davis spent four years sitting in the Lt. Gov.'s office basically twiddling his thumbs for eight hours a day while "Petey the Dog" Wilson (a Republican) was governor.

I didn't want to waste a new thread so I decided to give this one a bump because it sort of fits...

California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, the Democrat who broke ranks and said he voted for Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger in the recall election, has called for the govnah-elect to agree to an independent investigation regarding the allegations of groping and inappropriate touching raised during the election.

Now I don't know who exactly is more two-faced: Lockyer, for calling for an investigation of a guy he voted for (and had previously dismissed the allegations as "frat-boy behavior"), or Schwarzenegger, for making promises of disclosure on the matter before the election and then dismissing these allegations as "old news" after the election.

    Interesting, if kinda weird.

Anyone else heard about the "porn documentary" that Mary Carey's production company is making to give a "behind-the-scenes look" at the recall election? Mary's playing herself, some guy I've never heard is playing Ah-nuld, and Bustamante is portrayed by none other than...you guessed it...Ron Jeremy. :D Can't find a link unfortunately, but I saw this in the Metro newspaper a week or so ago.

    Errr... uhh...

Is RJ going to get a semi-bald haircut to play Busta?

Are we going to see any girl-on-girl stuff with Mary and Arianna?

Will we see a Gary Coleman cameo?

Don't have time to read your links right now as I have a basketball game to go to, but seeing on Buchanan and Press, they said that these are new allegations. These are considered serious enough, if the person(s) wanted to press the issue to the extent that the Arnold could even be arrested, well, if they (the State) so pleased to do so.
