So, what's on the boob tube tonight at 9pm ET?

Interestingly, my schedule shows 'Empire' on ABC tonight, and I hear that ABC is the only major network showing Bush's speech....

NBC has said it will not show Bush, and show "I wanna be a Hilton" instead.

CBS is showing 'fire me please' - is that another title for Bush's presidency?

    Percentages:

Bush calls for draft: 10 percent
Bush calls for volunteers: 25 percent
Bush just gives the same old same old and the press creams its pants over his "leadership:" 65 percent

I'll be glad I'm working tonight.

I will be watching tonight, just like every other patriotic American, as President George W. Bush speaks on the War on Terror from Fort Bragg, NC, home of the 82nd/XVIII Airborne! Details:

btw...I waited patiently for someone to post the results of the White House Tee Ball games...

I see nobody was interested! The White House Web site has an interview with White House Tee Ball Commissioner Barry Larkin:

I think I might have to give Bush some props tonight.

Usually he speaks in front of a staged audience. This time he speaks in front of a bunch opf soldiers, quite possibly unhappy about going (back) to Iraq, and, well, very well armed.

Of course, criticizing your CinC does lead to a lot of unpleasantness, and likely is the equivalent of volunteering for IED-finding duty in Baghdad.

There are some funny pictures in this thread -- including the one posted by ITN -- but this might be the funniest jpeg in the history of the Forum.

    or
"Your Tropical Retreat from the Stress of Jihad"
    or

Bah, those are cheap rip-offs. My fave is the "What happens in Gitmo, stays in Gitmo." I'd buy one if it didn't mean giving money to Rush.

Here is the unintentional punch line...

    "Now available in XXXXL!"

    Freakin' hilarious.

    I think this a two-drinker...

"Some people think..." followed by a claim that no one actually makes.

    candidates...

...people in the middle east aren't capable of democracy.
...people in Iraq don't want freedom.
...we should give in to the terrorists.
... (in honor of Rove) we should meet the terrorists with therapy
