He's bringing up 9/11 again. No wonder ignorant people in the US think there were Iraqis on the planes that horrible day. This man disgusts me.
not days, but weeks...i think by the middle of march we will see the united states and a few other allies being the war on the iraqi regime.
Listening to him speak, I am again reminded of how uneducated he comes across as. His vocabulary is very limited, he has trouble keeping longer sentences coherent, he cannot make a point without using a cliche and he tends to repeat himself. I mean, anything multisylabic he says sounds like a phrase out of a political pamphlet. To think, I used to see personal letters written by a US president in my English textbooks at Uni. Of course, it was Jefferson, but it still shows how low we've sunk.
I fascinated at how many people rib at his speech making skills. Does it really matter. WInston Churchill stuttered. Would you value more his speaking and lack of articulate ability or his leadership skills?
I hate Bush far more than any right winger could've ever hated Clinton. We're going to create democracy in the Middle East and create peace with Israel by going to war against Iraq? How on earth is ANYONE stupid and/or gullible enough to believe this will happen?
I'm sure Winnie is spinning like a top right now after that comparison. Bush will go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever.
Don't forget to get your picks in for the when do we attack pool. C'mon Bush, just hold out until Saturday. I got March 1!
the same people who think our billion dollar debt is going to disappear with increased military spending, the cost of a war, rebuilding of iraq, and giving away tax cuts...
"We're going to create democracy in Asia by going to war against Japan? How on earth is ANYONE stupid and/or gullible enough to believe this will happen?" Alex
Churchill may have stuttered, but he spoke in an educated, eloquent manner, at least when he wanted to. I mean, the man DID win the Nobel Prize, which is something we'll never be able to say for Bush, unless they introduce a Nobel War Prize. I find your comparison of the two insulting, somewhere along the lines of comparing Mozart to Shaq. The way someone speaks is indicative of the way they think and the level of intelligence they possess. Intelligent men express themselves in an intelligent manner, it's as simple as that.
Gentlemen, I'm by no means comparing the two. I'm saying, why lean on his speech skill, or lack there of, when deriding him? More importantly does his lack of fluency really matter?
Like I said, though, it's usually an indication of one's thought patterns. If Bush's comprehension of, say, the Iraq situation, is no different than what he says about it, then we're all fvcked.
If the guy was speaking off the cuff then you might have a point, maybe, but he's reading prepared speeches. Ever occur to you that maybe he just isn't a good public speaker? Alex
Many long-term drug abusers have problems speaking well. They also have a hard time stringing their thoughts together in a cogent manner, and thinking about the consequences of their actions. That could explain Bush's behavior.
"You want some dirt on Bush?? How about this: On January 23, 1980, George W. Bush did 3 lines of cocaine and drank an entire bottle of tequila. How do I know? Because I was there." Alex
