Yet the top State Department official for Latin American affairs, Assistant Secretary Otto J. Reich, has made clear his disapproval. He set off a small flap by cautioning Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura and others who plan to attend the show "not to participate in sexual tourism, which is one of the main industries in Cuba." He said high-profile visitors are "used as props" by the Castro government.

The Bush Admin should be warning the Cuban women to be cautious of Ventura. After all, he is "The Body."

I haven't really followed Ventura's career. Maybe someone can clue me in why the Bush administration thinks Jesse would be involved in this kind of thing. Has he really been accused of soliciting before?

You're focusing your puzzlement on the wrong side of the coin.

Hey, you know what they say about people who live in glass houses. I'm prepared to come in with counterpunches whenever necessary.

They shouldn't visit prostitutes or they'll be used as props by the Cuban government? Couldn't Cuban government members who use the hookers lean on the bed for support or just lie down instead? Propping themselves up with US officials with while banging away must be so undignified. Do they have no shame?

i believe he's admitted to using women of the night before (i can only guess while he was in Nam or something). he's even said that there's nothing wrong with legalized, regulated prostitution and that Nevada had the right idea

In a bag with a cat.
Indeed, US officials are often used in the Cuban version of the improvisation comedy show 'who's line is it anyway ?'.

Does this mean that Bush's government wouldn't mind him flying over hookers from other countries like Holland, Bhutan or Iraq ?.
