That is such a bullshit argument. He released only those reports that supported his case, and specifically refuted Wilson's reports. How many times has the story changed now? First, he knew nothing about leaking classified intel. Then it wasn't classified Then it was declassified because he waved his magic Presidential wand. Now he leaked the intel to support his case for war because the people he sent to gather the smoking gun intel found quite the opposite. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Somebody call Ken Starr, fer crissakes.
He's been lying, and pretty much everyone in the White House has been lying, and is continuing to tell lies. Or they just make up convenient "facts." These guys must be laughing hard at us, for letting them stay in power.
I watched some of tha speech (or whatever) this morning. Jesus H. Christ; The guy has been caught in a huge, on going, bald faced lie. "He declassified and released"...... This dovetails how with "We will catch the leaker"? That press conference, Q & A. or whatever was painful and embarrassing to watch. He also linked 9-11 and Iraq again, about 20 times...... Pants on fire.....
Holy ********ing shit. Mr. President, I think you meant to say "Libby is lying." Pretend I cut and pasted all that crap Bush said back when this scandal broke, about vowing to find and fire whoever was responsible. Resignation accepted, Private Citizen Bush.
Declassifying it is Bush's right and I wish he would do more of it. Leaking information is a manipulation of the story but that's what politicians do, i.e. typical Washington politics. Saying one never leaked classified information is downright Clintonian. No one will defend it. He should at least apologize then let go the people in his cabinet who advised him to do it.
It took 7 whole posts for Clinton's name to be mentioned in a thread about the guh-jillionth scandal/eff-up/lie/abuse of power the worst president in the history of the universe committed? You people are slipping.
Yes the moonbats do confuse the two but the distinction between leaking Plame's name and parts of the NIE is Clintonian.
And yet the adjective "Clintonian" discribes a certain way of speaking so well. It will be the man's true legacy.
If I ever had the displeasure of being at one of Bush's press conferences, I'd probably be dragged out due to my hysterical laughter. It's so damn obvious he's lying 90% of the time.
It's my understanding that Miller testified she heard about Plame's identity in the same conversation in which Libby was leaking the exculpatory parts of this NIE. So it's an easy mistake to make.
Let's see: A certain way of speaking that obfuscates rather than clarifies. vs. Sending thousands of American troops to their death in a war of vanity and then lying about the reasons we went to war. Hmmmmmm. Which legacy would I choose....?
