The SEs are seriously looking into a bus trip for the US-New Zealand game. As it's a 1 pm game we'd probably leave Summers around 10 am (I'm also thinking we might be able to do a New Carrollton pick up first or maybe even closer to Baltimore if there's enough interest). To help us decide to do, please post here if you'd be interested. Right now I don't know what the cost would be but I can't imagine it would be MORE than the trip we did to NJ ($45 for members/$55 for non). We would be getting tickets with the US Supporters section.

    Thanks for the feedback

Are we going to meet at Banditos again?

No, we'd go straight to the stadium (but people could do their tailgating on the bus as you can't at the stadium).

oh ok, well anyone not taking the bus can meet me at Banditos, since its only about 3 blocks from my home. I'll be there.

I might be interested in the bus ride, but already have match tickets.

K, should we post this in the Fire Forum as well, so we have people to mock after we beat them the night before ;)

They're aware we might do something, I'd like to gauge the local interest first (and it's not looking too good or maybe people haven't focused on it). If you're interested, please add here

(and I mean serious interest, I noticed a few folks who said they were coming to NJ on the bus with us and then never signed up. That's not helpful).

    OK

Possible departure point would be New Carrollton, DC and Springfield, VA (at least 2 of these, possibly all 3). Does that help anyone? We're thinking people who live S of Springfield would just drive on their own?

    We need more feedback please

I'm interested. I know of at least one other guy from my rec team that might want to go too.

Incase it matters- A Pickup from Summers works for me.

Essentially the bus becomes a floating tailgate (which can be important as there's no tailgating and beer allowed at the stadium!)

They have until tomorrow to decide. I hope you guys get a large group coming down here. Everyone bring your flags and banners. by flags I mean flags with poles. I am taking a 9x5 USA flag I am pretty sure I have it lined up. They say they dont allow confetti, but Darth Noreno got some in last time.

We need another 10-12 people to run a bus to Richmond. DEADLINE TO REPLY: Wed, May 28 (I'll post here letting people know if trip is on or off). If you're interested, round up your gang and reply to roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com
    _____________

We're looking into doing a bus trip to Richmond for the US-New Zealand game on Sunday, June 8. The game starts at 1 pm and is at the University of Richmond stadium. Trip would include roundtrip transportation and game ticket (if you have already purchased a ticket we can work it out).

The tentative departure sites would be New Carrollton Metro station, Summers Restaurant and Springfield Mall. Cost would be $40 for members and $50 for non. The University of Richmond does not allow tailgating so we'll roll in close to kick off.

To run the bus we need a minimum of 35 people. If you would be seriously interested, please reply to roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com (don't send any money at this time, we'll let you know if the trip is on for sure). Let us know how many seats on the bus you want and where you would like to board.

    Thanks
