(BBC) I guess this knocks that one on the head 3/4 mill for Robbo, thats well taking the mick! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/d/dundee_utd/7204233.stm Burnley will not improve their offer for Dundee United captain Barry Robson, BBC Sport understands. The Turf Moor club are thought to have made a bid of £750,000, with an additional £200,000 to be paid if they won promotion to the Premier League. The Tannadice outfit turned that down, along with a lesser offer from League One side Nottingham Forest. Chairman Eddie Thompson said that neither club had matched his valuation of the 29-year-old midfielder.
quite right to knock it back as well. if rangers can get £3mill for cousin (though i heard there's a problem because UEFA are saying he cant play for fulham as he's already played for rangers and lens this season) then utd deserve to get at least half that for robson, easily.
Exactly, I am really sick of the English wee teams coming up and think they can get our players on the cheap (much like they do with the Irish and Welsh leagues)
Aye, cos playing a handful of games against the likes of Benfica plus a couple against a real top side will make you a better player than playing in the best league in the world.
looks like (as I write this) the choices are as follows Stays where he is! Goes to the Green half of Weegieland Goes tae Robin hood land Goes tae whippet breeding country
