Well, golly. Is that not part of the negotiation strategy, to go back to Option A (Cotton Bowl) with the offer from Option B (Dragon) to see if Option A will sweeten their deal? Its hard to lay all the blame at the feet of the City of Dallas when the Burn didn't even call them to try for a 2nd offer. That is damn poor negotiating in my book and suggests that the short-sighted dorks at HSG were leaving the CB no matter what - for whatever Godda*** reason they could invent.
I think it has become painfully obvious to all of us that HSG was moving out of the Cotton Bowl no matter what. Their mind was made up and they went. I don't think the city of Dallas, regardless of how inept they are, could have prevented this. We have gotten a million reasons/excuses, but in the end, they were moving the team to the northern suburbs no matter what. Fine. I don't care. Just make sure you make it work HSG. Don't screw this up!
