The Burn will play their first US Open Cup game in the 3rd round on June 30. The site and opponent are still TBD. Hopefully they can fare better than last year.

They effin better do better than the last two years. If they want something they can carry into next season, a USOC trophy isn't a bad place to start. I will admit, I have a better feeling about Colin getting the team up for these games than I did about Jeffries (duh!) and it probably isn't fair to pressure Colin about two abismal years in the USOC, but dammit, we better not lose to anyone other than one of the better MLS teams - if anyone at all.
Depending on who wins the DFW Tornadoes/Virginia Beach Mariners game on June 15th, our first Open Cup game on June 30th will be either: Virginia Beach Mariners at Dallas Burn, Old Panther Stadium; Duncanville, Texas 7:30 p.m. -or- Dallas Burn (MLS) at DFW Tornadoes, Pennington Field; Bedford, Texas 7:30 p.m.
The Burn will play the Virginia Beach Mariners on Wednesday, June 30, at 7:30 P.M. in our first Open Cup game. The game will be played at Old Panther Stadium in Duncanville (map).
someone needs to yell and drink and fall over for me as i won't be able to attend any wednesday games unless/until our schedule at work changes. but if it's at panther there won't be beer, will there?
