The next two FOX live games are scheduled as well: 9 Apr: VfL Wolfsburg vs FSV Mainz 05 16 Apr: Bayern Munich vs Schalke 04 Both of those are in the 12:30pm time slot. Tough not to see Wolfsburg-Mainz as a bad break for FOX - Schalke-Dortmund and Köln-Leverkusen would have been much more attractive options, but will be played on the Sunday. One could hope that Schalke-Bayern works well for them, however.
Mainz has a Colombian on the team. Maybe that will bring in some viewers from Florida, New York , New England.

I think that the Friday's game has made it onto FS1 this spring not more than 2 times. Very frustrating. I admit that I don't know all the intricacies of Nascar but can a practice run be that more important. And it's been like that mostly on Saturdays and Sundays also.
Racing viewership on Friday on FS-1 (from Richmond) got 152,000 & 148,000 viewers. Well above what a Bundesliga match not involving Chicarito would get. Amazingly, two programs after that which featured "classic races" from 1992 & 1993 both had over 200,000 viewers. Meanwhile, Hamburg vs Bremen on FS-2 had 16,000 viewers and 25,000 on Fox Deportes. During Bayern game or postgame, they made the comment that Relegation playoff can be seen on Fox Sports 1. Not sure if that's set or if they were just making a general statement. I got excited when they said it because it would be the first time in a long time i would get to see it. Then again, it's fox, so I wouldn't be surprised if they bury it on FSP.
http://www.foxsports.com/tv-listings says the first leg will be on Fox Sports 1 and the second leg will be on Fox Sports 2.
http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/87/g...hit-among-american-soccer-fans-during-2015-16 Pretty interesting take I'd say, although the fact the Bundesliga itself tweeted it does speak to some selective supplying with data having gone on there.
To be fair I wouldn't say it's entirely wrong-headed. It is a fact that the availability of Bundesliga broadcasts and the quality of coverage have greatly increased by going from Gol TV to Fox. I think it also should be beyond any doubt that the reach of the Bundesliga via the Fox networks is much higher than either La Liga's or Serie A's could ever be on beIN. To leave out Spanish speakers seems odd, but as I understand it there wasn't until recently any ratings data available for beIN Espanol, so the only point of comparison would be the EPL on Univision (which, naturally, does much better). Also, the Bundesliga does extremely good ratings by the standards of FS Espanol, so not trumpeting those is actually maybe a case of under-representing themselves rather than spinning something their way. I guess where it's difficult to follow the positive take is because of the high expectations I reckon we all had of Fox. Those have only been fulfilled in some respects. Programming especially has been spotty - there have been odd decisions (starting with the early intention to put almost all of the games on FS Plus), some downright harmful decisions (planning Dortmund-Bayern for FS+ springs to mind), but also some very positive developments especially late in the season (live games on FOX network, moving Dortmund-Bayern to FX). As far as the ratings go: I think the Bundesliga should be satisfied to be beating LaLiga and Serie A, and I think they can legitimately say they're doing that.
Not to nitpick here but the Premiere League is on Telemundo. And Spanish Language Ratings have been available for more than a year now for BEIN. But point well taken. I think overall it should be seen as a net positive. But there's lots to improve upon.
