Is there some way for me to download a German Bundesliga highlight show? I believe sportschau is the standard now (what happened to "ran" by the way? when I lived in Germany that was the only thing anybody paid attention to)? I've seen all the bittorrents posted by people, which is great, but I don't really have time to watch the full game...plus I really like the "Kommentar" If this is available for a (reasonable) fee, I would be willing to pay it. Thanks!
I can't help you with your problem but... Thankfully Sat.1 doesn't have the Bundesliga rights anymore. I would prefer to take out one of my kidneys with a rusty spoon to a return of ran. Awful show. Im glad that the Sportschau is back, although I actually don't watch much Bundesliga anymore.
Ran having been an awful show had a lot to do with Reinhold Beckmann's concept and ideas for that show. Now Beckmann is working for Sportschau...thankfully he has realized how annoying ran was for the most part. I still dislike Beckmann, though.
Who doesn't ? I am not sure what was the worst part of ran. The "entertainment" parts of the show? (Has anyone seen the show whith the rapping Jonathan Akpoborie? "Johnny Akpoborie - that's a name that stands for glory!") Or the awful commentators? (Ugh, Werner Hansch...)
I don't remember that Jonathan Akpoborie episode (what has become of him?). What annoyed me most were probably Beckmann's interviews with studio guests. He was always trying to stir controversy, to make his guest attack someone else - bad blood, that's what Beckmann was most keen on creating. Sensationalism. The studio gimmicks were also annoying. And Steffen Simon. How I cheered when he and Beckmann left Sat.1 to moderate for ARD - little did I know that they would be having a comeback like that. At least Steffen Simon does not moderate the show like he did in "ran".
No idea, according to www.fussballdaten.de he played the first 4 matches for Saarbrücken in 2001 before he dissappeared completely. Well, maybe I'll look it up later.
Well, this thread made me curious and I tried to look it up. That's what I found out from various websites: Wolfsburg had dissolved his contract because of the slave ship scandal, although it was actually never proved that he was guilty. He went to Saarbrücken, but could only play 4 games because of injury. He ended his playing career there and was in debt. According to Transfermarkt.de he works as an agent for the management agency Rogon today. His website is down.
