That you don't have the official numbers Dortmund 66.103 Schalke 58.492 Bayern 53.173 Hamburg 44.004 Berlin 39.055 Hannover 35.587 Lautern 34.974 Stuttgart 32.495 Bremen 30.759 Gladbach 28.056 Nuremberg 27.305 1860 26.200 Bochum 22.855 Bielefeld 22.596 Leverkusen 21.202 Rostock 18.661 Wolfsburg 17.890 Cottbus 12.622 Average 32.891 This are officially updated numbers although I always ask myself when Schalke and Leverkusen were not sold out. It'll be a new league record anyway, even if they correct a little. It's the fourth season that there is a 30.000+ average. Record so far is 97/98 with 31.112.
How does this compare to the other major Euro leagues? A few years back, I read that the Bundesliga had the best average attendance in Europe. Since then, I've read that it was the EPL. Does anyone know? I was just wondering.
Re other leagues ESPN has some average attendance numbers by league. Rankings EPL - England 1, Bundesliga - Germany 2, Serie A - Italy 3, Primera - Spain 4.
