Paderborn and Hannover both slip on points and only get a draw on match day 33. And they both sit at 59 points, with the goal differential going to Hannover. If Elversberg get 3 points vs Duesseldorf tomorrow then they'll get a clear 3 point advantage over the other two
Wow Elversberg with a big choke and about to lose 0-3 to Duesseldorf. On the verge of setting up one helluva final match day in 2BL with all three clubs at 59 points going into next week. 3 points here would also help Duesselfdorf try to avoid relegation into 3BL

Big final test for Ginter to impress Nagelsmann if he does well tonight against a very strong offense.
Yeah, I mean they are underdogs and Aston Villa are a step up from Celta Vigo or Braga, but finals like this are often tight and nervy which gives the underdog more chance. Defending well is crucial, as is exploiting set pieces. With Grifo in the team that is always a potential strength.
Big loss for Freiburg and total domination from Aston Villa as was expected. I was hoping freiburg would face Nothingham Forest it would have been more balanced . But at the end Freiburg overacheived by reaching the final.
Freiburg did well to get there, but it was a step too far. I think the same would have applied in the Champions League, so probably better for the BL coefficient to have them in the Europa Conference League next season, a competition they can have another deep run in. The first 40 minutes were pretty even but after the two quick goals before half time there was no chance. I feel like the defending could have been better in closing down the opponents quicker. The third goal killed the second half completely. I do think it is good that we have at least seen 3 different BL teams make the EL final in the last 5 seasons, a definite improvement after several years of not doing a lot at that level.
I agree. The 2nd goal too came at the worst time few seconds before half time. There was also a yellow card given in 1st half for Aston Villa that could have been red for the dirty tackle on the upper leg of Freiburg player which would have given Freiburg an advantage just like their last match against Braga.
Paderborn to Bundesliga with 10 german starters and 9 on bench. Only 1 American player in the squad. Dennis Seimen played big part in their promotion especially in the first match. Looking forward to his future next season and whether he will be Stuttgart nb 1.
And here i would have thought Mæhle played the biggest part in Paderborn promotion with his red card. Certainly made for an exciting game though.
Fürth made a comeback after their away loss in first match against Essen to win in home and stay in BL2.
Hopefully he brings his form next season to Frankfurt. He is still young and if he impresses next season in BL , he can give Nagelsmann another striking option.
Looking forward to the future of Pejcinovic with Wolfsburg. He was the stand out performer this season. I wonder if they can keep him to play in BL2 or if he will get a better offer to play BL or abroad. I prefer if he gets picked up by a mid table BL team like Augsburg or even Hoffenheim ( if they are selling Asllani and Lemperle)
Pejcinovic should move imo, he's already shown enough in BL he doesn't need to drop down. I agree a club like Hoffenheim would be ideal, likely to sell players and have a lot of matches to play being in EL. On another note, now that Bayern have missed out on Gordon maybe they can go for El Mala. Much better then him moving to some meh EPL club like Brentford.
I prefer El Mala moves to a club where he can be a starter like Dortmund ( especially if adeyemi is leaving )or leverkuson or frankfurt . With Luis Diaz , it will be hard for him to start and we need him to be a starter to be ready for Euro 2028.
I've never seen Gordon play, had the pleasure to watch El Mala for a few matches. Stats wise, I think El Mala is better even though Gordon plays in EPL.
Wolfsburg about to sign Robert Glatzel from HSV. Glatzel looks like the new Simon Terodde, as the veteran striker who's expected to be the 2BL scoring specialist to try and win promotion https://www.transfermarkt.de/wolfsb...millionenablose-erforderlich/view/news/480327
