What a match and a deserved remontada for BVB in SIP. Beier was MOTM imo after drawing 2 penalties and being everywhere in the match. He was very active and kept running all the match. On the other hand, it was disappointing performance for Adeyemi.

Nils-Ole Book will be Dortmund's new sporting director now that Kehl is gone. Book was previously in charge of 2nd division club Elversberg and credited for their rise in recent years

He is known for developing talents. Hopefully he does so with BVB since after götze they couldn't produce any german talent( Moukoko was supposed to be the biggest talent but he regressed badly).

Moukoko's career really got derailed when the talks of falsifying his age was all over the tabloids. Although whether his age is correct or not, how poorly he's doing in the Danish league is definitely concerning though.

Knauff is probably the former Dortmund prospect that have made the most progress in the pros. Although he didn't get a full chance until he joined Frankfurt. Similar with Rothe. Also thought of Fuhrich but he left Dortmund really early and his true breakthrough was with Paderborn and Stuttgart.

Too bad that guys like Semic, Unbehaun, Passlack and Raschl fizzled out after showing early stage potential.

Among the newer wave guys there's Watjen and Kabar, although they seem likely to also need to leave to get a chance elsewhere. While Paris Brunner who already left is stuck in another bad development scenario at Monaco.

Collins is another former BVB youth that is making pretty good career progress with Frankfurt. Always felt he had more potential then Mane or now Reggiani but never seemed likely to get a chance. Kabar is strongly linked with a move to Hamburg, which hopefully materialises.

The issue now is most of their most hyped talents are non Germans, maybe Kaba has a shot but beyond that I don't see many likely to make the first team squad in the near future.

Great away win for Bayern in Madrid in a very entertaining match that could have ended with more goals from the 2 sides. Neuer was MOTM as he saved almost everything ( even Mbappe's only goal he saved it but couldn't prevent the goal).
Bayern lost too many easy chances. Musiala looked still far away from his old form. Kompany should have used Karl instead who could have made bigger influence using his sharp finishing.

Yes great game , many chances missed on both sides - Neuer was in top form... , and yes Musiala seems a shadow of himself

It's tough coming back from such a serious injury, I expect we won't see the best of Musiala again until next season. The positives are that we have a core of Germans at Bayern that look to have a decent chance of winning the CL. Maybe not the stars of the team but it's never a bad thing to see players being part of this type of success as we need as many NT players with a winning mentality who have experienced winning something at international club level.

Yeah but that's the problem lately. Over the past six years or so we've had lots of German players who are very successful at club level, yet that doesn't translate to the NT.

Musiala should start against St Pauli to regain his form. Kompany should rest most of his starters to be ready for the most important match against madrid in Allianz.

Great surprising win for Freiburg 3-0 against Celta Vigo in EL to put themselves close to historic Semi final.
Also Mainz continue the perfect german week by beating Strasbourg 2-0.

Great to see from Freiburg. Although I don't think they'll be favourites, among the clubs remaining in EL it's wide open for any of them to win. Anything can happen as long as they're on their game

Last week Bayern's game vs Madrid was another evidence showing that sometime games where you'd created so many chances but could not convert them can cause you the ending result.

Harry Kane's last wasn't doing much but his goal is decisive, then I'am looking at the German national team and we don't have ST like that. Undav may be a guy who can come off the bench
but he won't score from long range. While the French they got Mbappe, who can dribble solo and score 30 or 40 yard away.

Special talent like Karl need to be put on, someone who's bold and threat from a long range unpredictable with his own individual skill is a must. TBH, I'll play Karl in the first starting 11 against any national teams.

Imagine how strong bayern could be if we see Davies and Musiala back in their old form. This could still happen with more game time and we can see much better performance from them in the semi and even final . Karl will definitely get playing time in Allianz and he and Bichof have strong personality and are very mature for their age.
Btw Pavlovic played one of his best matches especially in 2nd half. Such matches are very crucial for his development noting that he is the player covering most Kms in the match and the national team could benefit from him being on top form. Hopefully Nmecha can get back asap to be included in the WC squad.

Unfortunately we won't see Karl for at least 3 weeks after being injured. The injury came at the worst time when bayern need him the most . Hopefully the injury doesn't affect his presence in the WC.
